Who would you take if you could have your choice of one of these guys by the deadline? I would probably still take T-Mac. Gilbert Arenas doesn't do much but score. T-Mac is big, he plays defense (something Gil doesn't do a lick of), he is a good passing swingman, and he is a pretty good rebounder. Gil might score more points, but T-Mac is really starting to heat up right now also.Who would you take?
Probably the only reason a GM would take TMAC is because he is a proven leader. He can lead playoff teams and we know Mcgrady's capabilities. Arenas however, is starting to blow up this season. Plus we really don't how far Gilbert can lead this Wiz team. If you ask this question next year however, I gaurantee you 100% that GM's and fans alike are going to say Gilbert Arenas.

Its easier for Gilbert in the East.
I don't care. You can't call someone a playoff leader when he has never gotten to the 2nd round. It is pretty pathetic when you can't get to the 2nd round when you have Yao Ming with you. From memory, I think the Rockets were a higher seed than the Mavs that year. So you can't say that it was impossible for him to beat the Mavs because they were a much better team than the Rockets. They weren't.
Hmm I gotta say T-mac. He's a team player. He scores, gets his teammates involved and gets the job done. I haven't really seen Arenas play, just his buzzer beaters lol.
T-Mac easily for me. More dangeorus of a scorer, a bette rplaymaker, better rebounder, better defenders, and IMO just better overall. Not even a question in my mind.Gil has proven littlke in the playoffs. In 04-05 he averaged below 40% shooting in both series', and last year was totally outplayed in 4th quarters and in the clutch. Look at T-Mac's numbers in the playoffs: 31/7/7 in 04-05 playoffs, 32/7/5 in 02-03 playoffs, 31/6/6 in 01-02 playoffs, and 34/8/7 in 00-01 playoffs. He has to take responsbility for his playoff woes, but when he outscores the rest of his teammates by over 10pts like he did vs Detroit, and that 1 game was the difference in the series, ya gotta give him some slack.

Also T-Mac has been more consistent of a player then Gilbert Arenas.
McGrady is better, Arenas' success may be fleeting. But, if Tmac can stay healthy, watch out! he can get REAL HOT, like Kobe Hot.
When McGrady's on, he's probably one of the top 3 toughest players to guard.. and as a Wizards fan, I would know, considering he lit the Wizards up for 62 in '03-'04. I'd have to say both of their scoring mentalities are exactly the same, but McGrady is far more of a consistent player than Gil.

I would take Tracy no doubt. Look at what he is doing with the Rockets this season without Yao Ming....He is finally fully healthy and he is playing amazing. He isnt a one dimensional player like Gilbert is either. He can do more than just score, and Tracy is just as good of a shooter as Gilbert is too. And IMO, I think he takes smarter shots. So many times, I see Gilbert take unnessecary threes when the shot clock is at 15+ seconds, and I just dont think that is smart...Tracy is a better rebounder, better defender, and is a smart player. Both are equally explosive, and very similar scoring wise. Tracy is just better. Now, if this was to see who I would take to start my team with, I would take Gilbert. He is younger, and he hasnt been injured like Tracy has. Tracy will later this year sit some time out because of an injury. Whether it is going to be 15 games or 3 games. He is going to miss time....
