I read in the most recent Sporting News (Damon in Yankee uniform on cover) that Ernie Accorsi (Giants GM) realizes he needs a playmaking CB & is not afraid to move up to do so. The Giants draft about 21st if memory serves. If Michael Huff (CB/S from Texas) is still on the board it would not bother me to see a trade beween NYG & Mia and have Nick get an extra 3rd or 4th rounder to play with. Especially, if Daunte goes to the Rams and Bulger is acquired by the 'phins. Speaking of trade rumors, Ricky may not be on the block as the aforementioned edition states. With Mularkey as OC, Miami will run more and having a quality back up is a good thing.
Huff probably won't be on the board at that pick. Maybe Jimmy Williams who is similar to Huff of Virginia Tech is on the board. I also really like Antonio Cromartie of FSU.
Yeah but both of those guys have their risks, Cromartie is coming off a major knee injury and hasn't played very much and Jimmy Williams has some major character problems.
interestimg rumors...i for one think that if ricky williams can run from the phins and go smoke pot in central Cal then the team should be allowed to do the same...i could just see Ricky going to practice and asking someone there where the team is...only to find they randomly picked up and moved to North Dakota or Alaska...that be a pretty good prank (except cold)... sorry random tangent...
