<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">That you can expect the Jazz to make a deal before the trade deadline. Nobody expected them to have 24 wins after 35 games, and the feeling in Utah is they must seize the moment and give themselves their best shot at succeeding in the playoffs. Owner Larry H. Miller has even given GM Kevin O?Connor the green light to spend up to the luxury tax limit if that is what it takes to get a deal done. At $61 million, their payroll is just under the tax line now. They once signed Corey Maggette to a restricted free-agent offer sheet. Feel free to presume they will make another run at acquiring him. </div>

This is an old rumor they just barely got hold of, KOC said he wasn't going to trade away any of the core or young players.

The difference between this and other older rumours is that now Utah is willing to spend up to the luxury cap limit if necessary.

That don't mean much IMO The only guys I see in being in a trade is Jarron Collins, Giri (doubtful now), and Hoffa. Throw in a 1st and it might happen but probably not.

Marko Jaric anyone? The Jazz have shown interest in him before, and there are reports he wants to be traded.

Marko Jaric seems like the same thing as Giricek to me...

Jaric wants to go play PG, that's why he wants to be traded, so no.

Eddie Jones might get a buyout, we could bring him in. Hell go give Jalen Rose a deal, after all, you don't have to play D to be the Jazz SG [IMG]
