Man whe would of actually won some games with Miles and Ollie. But I'm glad the trade didn't go through Howard and Gordon are just now starting to shine. Maybe in a few more games they'll start to hit shots and McGarady will have a go to person.

I am glad it didnt go through. Darius Miles is a complete waste. How many years now has he supposed to have "Breakout". I am not seeing it, and I am glad they have not accepted the trade. Besides, A Center is way more important that a point guard at this time. Even Before Strickland

If it would of been Illgauskas(spell check) with miles instead of ollie .I would of pulled the trigger.Miles would give an althletic swingman which we haven't in a longtime. He would bring some energy I think also. I won't even explain why we can use Illgauskas

I would have liked for Miles to play here, but not for that trade, very one sided in my opinion.

Way to One-sided... Giving up Giricek and Howard for that isnt really something that I would expect anyone to accept anyway. Miles has been benched alot lately, Ollie is like a backup... And giving them two starters is virtually, a dumb move.

Deals like this happen all the time, they are salary deals, not necessarily based on talent, you guys know better.

I don't want Howard here in Cleveland. Giricek would be nice because he is a shooter, and playing with an unselfish star in James could get the best of his talents.

Before Miles gets knocked, he is still very young and when he is on the court, he does a little of everything. It is the fans that put the high expectations on him.

Yea..I think its the fans that put all the pressure on DMiles because the clippers took him 3rd in the draft..I think it would have been better to take Q.Richardson third but w/e Dmiles is still a great player. I would have a new favorite team if dmiles was on the magic....Tmac, Drew Gooden, Shammond Williams, And Dmiles would do some great stuff..cough(playoffs)cough

I agree, this deal would have been horrible for us. Even to get less salary, I still wouldn't have done this deal. Miles hasn't proved anything and Ollie isn't that good. If Gabe did this, he would have been fired less than a week later.

Tmac is very unselfish, KJ. When we win, he gets 8+ assists it seems like. Giricek is just way inconsistent. Some games he goes 6-8 from the floor, other nights he goes 3-16. He would still do that with Lebron.

It is T-Mac's job to help motivate his team though, just like any leader, so just getting them shots is only part of it.

I don't like this trade, but I'll look at it from both sides.

Yes it wouldn't favor the Magic, but it would help down the road. The duo of Howard and Gooden has been terrible, and like I've said before, Gooden is our future.

    <div class="quote_poster">Quoting :</div><div class="quote_post">Miles hasn't proved anything</div>
I believe Darius Miles needs a fresh start before he gets written off completely. Yes, he's already played for two teams, but people put high expectations on him. He was overhyped by the media and fans and he's only 22. He's an athlethic freak, you can't give up on him..he's too talented. He brings much needed energy and does the 'little things' that the Magic have desperately been searching for. If the Magic got him, it would actually work out better than most think. Since the Magic aren't going anywhere this season, he could just play his game without the worries and speculations.

As for Gordan leaving, that would have been a mistake for the Magic. They need him to knock down the open shots that Tmac dishes out.

This trade would have worked in the Cavs favor, but the Magic wouldn't leave empty handed.

Cavs favor what? I don't want Howard nor his contract, lol. I am stunned the Cavs made this offer, that would put us in the same situation you guys are in with him and Gooden (Boozer)

We would still have Williams, Newble, Kapono, Wagner, Bremer, and James floating around those 2 guard/SF positions, so I would not see a lot of PT for any of those 2 on a regular basis, and Howard would never start.

(Please note that I am not saying that we are giving up more talent, I am saying that this deal makes no sense for the Cavs IMO)

Talent wise, I think the Cavs gain more. Gordan has a great outside shot, and Juwan, well..hes good

IMO, its a pointless trade for both sides

SAme here, the Cavs can take him. No complaints here.

Ollie is not a bad backup PG but has an awful contract. I'd rather have Howard's contract than Ollie's and Dmiles is not ready to help Orlando win more games than with Giricek.

Who would help the Magic however is Eduardo Najera. Josh Howard is playing so well in Dallas that E isn't playing hardly at all. He is a bruiser who plays tough D. Exactly the kind of guy the Magic have lacked since....forever.

I like Najera. I wonder if there's anyway we can get him.

Ice, we wouldn't play Miles. You see how Doc did and Johnny is now doing, we never play any young guys with potential(except gooden and giricek) We never play Hunter, Gaines, Zaza, the guys we need to play because they could help us in the future.

Good....that would've been a HORRIBLE trade for the Mavs...acquiring and underachiever and an aging backup for a proven low-post scorer and a nice perimeter scorer...
