Phoenix needs to free up salary. Most realistic trade idea I've heard for the Cavs to date. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Phoenix Trades 5th Overall Pick (Any salary filler that might be necessary - Kurt Thomas?) Cleveland Trades 3 Million Dollars Drew Gooden Future Pick or Damon Jones? With that 5th Pick the Cavs could pick Mike Conley Jr if he doesn't go number 3 to the Hawks. Phoenix Depth Chart PG - Nash/Barbosa/Banks/(D. Jones?) SG - Bell/J. Jones/Piatowski? SF - Diaw/Ju. Jones/Draft Pick PF - Gooden/Draft Pick C - Amare/Draft Pick? Sorry I'm not to sure what direction the Suns would go in the draft especially with this trade. Cleveland Depth Chart PG - Maybe Conley/Gibson/ SG - Hopefully not Hughes SF - Lebron PF - Varejao (resigned)/Thomas?/Marshall C - Z/Thomas?</div>
^^ This trade scenario is outdated, because the Hawks landed in the top three of the draft. Their pick that would have been sent to Phoenix, was a Top-3 lottery protected pick. Boston now owns the 5th overall pick, not Phoenix. The Suns own the 29th & 24th picks in the draft.
Do you hate Gooden?? I think Gooden is the only thing good going on the Cavs as a good supporting player for LeBron.
<div class="quote_poster">Lostmyluggage Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Well scratch that idea then.... Drew Gooden David Wesley for Marcus Banks Kurt Thomas #24 pick</div> As much as I would like to give up Banks there is no way in hell I would want that deal. We can get a serviceable backup at the 24 slot at least that would be better for the Suns needs than Gooden.
