It's high risk but it might work. Toews has this and next year on his 10.5 million cap hit contract. The Hawks are a fucking embarrassment. Toews is an elite faceoff guy and is a tremendous leader. He might have a great effect on Kakko and Lafreniere. If the Hawks will eat half his contract, take back Nemeth and you include Zac Jones, a good center prospect like Korczak thought they might want Barron which I'm not doing yet, also throw in another prospect like Berard, I don't see any reason why Chicago won't do that. It's worth the risk for the Rangers as they are well on their way to ruining Kakko and Lafreniere. Hawks get a D man that can play now, some cap relief and two kids that are probably 2 years away from joing their forward core. You might have to throw in one of our two second rounders. Who knows. I would feel much better with Toews centering Kakko and Lafeniere and taking PP and PK draws even if he comes off the PP once we control the puck.

That would be great if we could swing it. Problem is he’s a legend in Chicago and even if he’s be ok with it Chicago probably won’t move him unless he asks. But yeah, he would help. Our bigger that’s just as big is for a reliable defensive defenseman to clear traffic from out in front of net. Never seen a team give up scoring chances where the other teams forward standing 5 feet in front of Igor with no one within 20 feet of them.

He's the mini-Messier leader type this team could use. Even if they could eat 3m you could give them a 1st/Chytil/Kravtsov and they would probably think hard about it, even though he's a staple there like Mel said. I don't think it would happen this season but going into next year it's something they should explore. Then you let Strome walk and find a 3C if Barron isn't ready for it.

I think he would want to move he’s been there a very very long time and he’s put his time in there and I think at this point they’re going to move him and probably gonna move Kane and just do a complete rebuild. Here’s the other kicker if you’re going to tank the next two years are good to do it because there are two players that are supposed to be insane as the top overall picks.

Believe me that is going to factor into the equation over there.

I wouldn't be surprised if they look at Giordano as a rental if they stay in the race, as Seattle will probably start selling by the New Year. He would be a definate upgrade from Nemeth.

Rumors about JT Miller coming back to the Rangers. Horvat or Miller. Both faceoff studs. After getting butt fucked on draws vs. Toronto twice, it makes sense. I've posted several Vancouver trades already. Makes sense. Their defenseman core blows. Especially on the left side. Jones and Hajek who don't even play here would be huge pieces for their future. Both Miller and Horvat could replace Strome next year. Strome just sucks on draws and I don't think they want him here past this season. I would really try to hold onto Barron. I would have no problem throwing in Berard and a prospect like Korczak. Miller is a UFA after next season.

I’d be all in on Miller. Really solid player and unfortunate he got traded to begin with.

Miller is a pretty good example of how the Rangers failed at developing a young/talented player. He got bottom 6 minutes his entire time with the Rangers. Gets traded to TB and then to Van where he became a stud.

I don't agree with that. Miller's minutes were fine here. Miller was on record stating his work ethic and maturity sucked in NY. No different in Tampa. He said that basically he needed to be traded to the middle of nowhere to grow up.

I don't believe for a second the Rangers want Kravtsov back. Either they just said that to try and get leverage or told the dumb fuck and his agent that if he agreed to come back it would be easier to find a deal for him. Still locked in on either Miller or Horvat for a combination of Kravtsov, Jones, Hajek and another prospect. I would not give up Barron but I could them doing it. No way I'm giving up Schneider, Othmann or Cuyle. I wouldn't give up Robertson either

Arizona is putting out feelers for Chychrun. He's a stud on the left side. His contract is excellent. This is a player the Rangers could easily acquire. They would have to take Nemeth back of course in the deal. It's probably going to cost you Robertson, Lundkvist and Jones with dumping Nemeth to relieve some money. Essentially, you are going to have to build at least half of their future defense to acquire this player. He's a -29 this year. I wouldn't put much into that. His team is a joke and he plays a ton of minutes. He can do it all. This guy along with a Schneider are the types of defenseman you have to have if you want to beat the Av's of the world and win the cup. I would not be surprised to see the Rangers make a move on him after watching the team against the Av's last night. First Av's game was an impossible situation. Last night I heard they were totally outplayed.

Of course, if you do that you are committing to Chytil for the rest of the year and you have moved most of your trade chips.

I'd like to see them keep Kravtsov but it's nice to know you have him as a trade chip if needed.

I would say right now there is a better than average chance this team will miss the playoffs if Drury doesn't get rid of Chytil in a deal for a real center and Gallant stops playing rejects like Hunt on top lines.

I think Chicago would be open to trading Toews right now if the offer was right. We definately have the goods. Salary balancing would be the key.

Dylan Strome would be pretty easy to get and let’s face it he’s better than Chytil. Probably could offer Chytil and somebody like Hunt or Pajuniemi

We probably could but I would hope when drury finally makes the move we can do better than Dylan strome.

The perfect guy IMO would be Gourde. Plus faceoff guy. Great speed. Clutch. I think he would mesh well with Lafreniere. If they retained about 35% and you sent them Chytil, Jones and perhaps a prospect like Pajuniemi, that would probably do it. They need to rebuild. They might want one of our two second rounders instead of Pajuniemi. He would be a great fit here.

Keep seeing Reilly Smith's name mentioned with Eichel's salary on the way.

Smith is a good playoff guy. He's 30, is a UFA next year and is a wing. So I have no idea what the hell we would want him for or how his salary is an issue with Eichel on the way.

Rangers should absolutely trade Georgiev now that I think about it. He's a UFA next season. He's a RFA. My guess is he won't sign here and I don't blame him. He's arrogaant and he figures he can start on some other teams which he can and get a much bigger, long term deal which he will. Koskinen is a UFA next year. They can take Koskinen back at half retained this year. Don't want a pick though. They need to expand on the deal. They aren't going to bring back Rooney next year as some team will overpay him. Gallant seems to hate Barron which is mind boggling. I would make it a deal like McLeod, Koskinen for Georgiev, Hunt and McKegg. McLeod has size, tremendous speed, is great on the PK with a team that can play defense and projects as a plus faceoff guy. He's a lower line guy but that is fine. He had good offensive numbers as well. It also gives us another option so they are more likely to dump Chytil who is not improving.

On a side note, Hughes has 12 points in his last 5 games playing about 20 minutes a night and top PP time. That's how you develop a top draft pick. Not playing them with assclowns like Chytil or not putting them on the first PP unit. Smh.

I don't see the Stars blowing it up out there. Pavelski is a perfect rental in the last year of his contract. They have a couple of center prospects they probably want to give time to. Seguin sucks now. No clue what happened to him. He's got to have off the ice issues to fall off that quick. Maybe Jones or Kravtsov for Pavelski and a 2nd rounder. For a rental, they have to give a pick back for sure.

Moron Canucks fans thinking they will get the world for Miller. I don't think I would give up Chytil until I see more of him at wing. He seems to have found something there. Honestly, Kravtsov, Lundkvist and Hajek is more than enough for Miller who is close to 30. He will be 29 in March. The Canucks are run by incompetent idiots. They still can't grasp the fact that there defenseman blow. OEL sucks. He's so overrated. Myers sucks. Hamonic sucks. Schenn sucks. Yet, most teams are so desperate for defenseman they probably could move those guys. If they had any clue they would make a deal like deal I proposed above then try to deal OEL, Myers and Hamonic, retain salary, suck for a couple years, play young players and draft a couple of prospects high. However, they won't. They will somehow think they can contend because they are dumb.

I think a 1st will almost certainly be one piece in any Miller deal if it goes down. Chytil likely would have to go to clear roster room, plus either Kravtsov or a young D-man. Maybe the Canucks include a 3rd rounder or equivalent to balance it out. Getting JT for 2 playoff runs would make the cost a little pricier.

Rather have Pavelski. He's even better on draws. He's having a great year. He's on the last year of his contract. You probably could send them Barron and Jones along with one of our second rounders. I could see Pavelski absolutely staying here for another 2 years at a decent price. Gallant clearly doesn't like Barron as he keeps playing that worthless scrub McKegg over him. Drury needs to release McKegg or trade him with a prospect immediately.

I'm starting to think going after Chychrun should be a priority. Robertson isn't ready. Jones is small. They don't seem to like Hajek. Time to move Miller is now before his value goes to Poti level. Not sure if the Yotes would do Miller, Kravtsov and Jones but I think that's a pretty good offer for a team that freakin sucks and has no depth.

Chychrun is an absolute stud on a great contract and I would overpay (within reason) to get him here. He'd be a perfect pairing with Trouba for the next 3 years.

Miller is still very young, he's not much older than Lundkvist and Jones. In fact he just turned 22 today. Lets keep that in mind when already declaring the guy Tom Poti. That said, I would absolutely include him in a Chychrun trade.

According to Jeff Marek the Rangers have made an offer for Chychrun which includes Kravtsov. Maybe Kravtsov, Miller or Lundkvist, Chytil or 1st.
