Trade Harpring and 14th pick for 1st or 2nd? We can even throw in Lopez or Williams Magics need an solid point guard and a good role player, Clippers need some verteran experience. Just a thought, that would be awesome. We either get Okafor or Howard. Damn, I wish trading was that easy. Come up with some other ideas that can get Utah what they need.
Matt Harpring and Carlos Arroyo are the guys on the trading block for Utah. Utah went without Harpring for the majority of the season last season and almost made the playoffs. Arroyo has a lot of value now, and the Jazz really like Raul Lopez. Carlos Arroyo sign and trade for Drew Gooden. Why for Orlando? They get rid of Gooden, who wasn't really working and now more minutes can go to Juwan Howard at PF. Why for Utah? They get a young PF who may be a part of the future. I'd really like to see Utah get the #1 pick, but I just don't think it's possible without trading AK47. They may try to take on Grant Hill's contract in an effort to get the #1 pick if they make an effort at all.
So they want to trade Carlos? I thought it was Lopez, but anyway, Mo and Lopez are both pretty good point guards. I can see Drew Gooden here, but I think the Magics are more likely to give up Juan Howard. I want to see Emeka or Howard here, but more likely Emeka because of Jerry Sloan's style. It dosen't look like Jazz are going to trade up though, they haven't held a lot of work outs, Atlanta has like over 25 draftees worked out already.
I'd say they've worked out about 15 different guys. The media just doesn't cover it very well. The Jazz just like Lopez and his twice surgically repaired knee more than Arroyo, I don't know why. They'd like to keep all 3 PG's, but Charlotte will probably take Williams in the expansion draft(Utah wont protect 3 PG's). So they are probably going to lose either Williams or Arroyo, Arroyo is a restricted FA. I think Lopez reminds them of John Stockton, because personally I'd rather have Arroyo than Lopez. Arroyo is good trade bait right about now, unlike Lopez. Utah may try to work a deal with Atlanta, if Andris Biedrins will be available then.
