There are a number of threads and rumors. We should try to keep them in one place so all fans can save time and space sharing their ideas. 1 - Recently heard Portland is trying to move R. Patterson and would comtemplate letting T. Ratliff go. Is the shot-blocking demon worth Patterson? You saw that Patterson was scoring in the paint when our jumpshots were being defended. 2 - I'm for trading..........Sprewell & Kandi for Artest. This option is available and the only thing we lose is a center that can barely dunk. 3 - KANDI - McCants - Hassell -for- Foster - Artest 4 - Kandi - Griffen -for- Artest

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting phiLA:</div><div class="quote_post">sprewell? hes still with the wolves? i thought he was a free agent.</div> They still hold his rights as of now I've been told. The only way Spree is going to get more than chump change is if he agrees to a sign-and-trade. That way, it could easy to find a way to get the salaries to match and send get Artest.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting KGMVP:</div><div class="quote_post">lol Spree is a free agent, what are you smoking?</div> What I've been smoking is the fact that Spree is not going to get anywhere near what he wants on the market and the Wolves could do a sign-and-trade with him and follow that with a trade. It has already been noted that this is something they were thinking about in the ESPN rumor section last week. The scenario was to re-sign spree and add him with Kandi. The sign and trade would be for 1 season and Kandi's contract comes off the books soon anyway. So Pacers get cap freedom.
The Wolves have offered the Pacers anyone on their roster except KG for Artest. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">ESPN - Minnesota is offering Indiana anyone on its roster not named Kevin Garnett in the hope of pairing Artest with KG. That's because the Wolves are as desperate as the Lakers to make a splashy move -- in their case to keep KG energized and confident in the club's direction -- and because they see KG and Artest (assuming Ron-Ron could actually be counted on) as a devastating combo. If Artest wants to score more, as stated in his original trade demand, Garnett is unselfish enough to make that happen. And if Artest is ever going to defer to a teammate, KG also (theoretically) has the juice and presence to make that happen. The Wolves, though, have been trying to pull a third team into the mix to better their chances of assembling a package Indy likes.</div> http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives...from_minnesota/
I think Artest could help the Timberwolves. I don't blame them for giving up anybody the team except KG.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Swish15:</div><div class="quote_post">The Wolves have offered the Pacers anyone on their roster except KG for Artest. http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives...from_minnesota/</div> Yep. Not a good way to bargain if you know what I mean.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Sabretooth:</div><div class="quote_post">Yep. Not a good way to bargain if you know what I mean.</div> Yeah I agree. I wouldn't be to happy if I were on the TWolves and my initials weren't K and G right about now. I see a strike coming on!

Ya hes a great defensive player, prolly the best, but i wouldnt want to strike for him.
Could Hudson be headed to Memphis? They are in need of a pg since Damon Stuodemire went down. Lorenzen Wright could be an option for us? I just thought I would throw it out there.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting CrazyArtest:</div><div class="quote_post">Artest for Wally and Micheal O. alot of people say...</div> From what I've noticed, the Pacers are looking to A) get some salary cap room, and get younger. Wally doesn't fit either of these situations. I watch the Pacers and have been hearing that there is unrest with the current roster providing a good 2nd option scoring punch. If there were a reason they'd look at Wally, it's that. Secondly, Wally doesn't really have any bad publicity. No reason for fans not to like his smile and energy. After some of the games I've watched, he'd be a calming force to the S. Jackson's (Jackson would then know he is a role-player instead of thinking he's the man if O'Neal is off the court) on the team.
