Begin the retool on the fly. Wes and Wallace for Monta and Dorrell Wright. Then look to move Camby/Felton/Jamal before the deadline for future pieces.
then why does every GS poster on the trade board and their own forum like this deal? I know fans don't make deals but their fans think they are gettin a good one, and they also think they need changes like we do.
I'm sure GS needs changes, but I'll wager trading for an aging small forward whose wheels are probably going to fall off sooner rather than later (and might be a rental at best) and a shooting guard going through a horrible slump aren't exactly the kind of assets they're going to want to get in return.
well perhaps instead of pontificating from your back side you could spend some time exploring an idea like this as I did. Perhps mgmt reflects some of the fans thinking?
Dorell wright is the worst player in the deal. I think gs does this deal, I wouldnt want this deal for ourselves
I think Wright and Wessy are at the same level, and Wright is on a very reasonable contract. I would think that GS wants to rid themselves of Biedrins instead. He's still got 18 mil for 2 years on his deal, and for some reason, GS did not amnesty him. I'd love Monta here. We need someone with killer instinct. Brandon left a gaping hole.
Ah yes, the "you're talking out of your ass if you don't agree with me" argument. No defense against that.
your comment warranted the response, you put no or very little effort into the trade which is a very fair deal for both theams, so yeah you were talking out of your ass
Yes he can, how good he is at it is debatable, I think with him at PG and Nic at SG it would be a good and interesting guard combo with Jamal and Ewill backing up and Nic backing up some SF too.
Ellis plays pg like iverson played pg. I would love him as a sg and would lobby to start smith at pg ellis at sg if we somehow got him Sent from my LS670 using Tapatalk
You put up something I don't consider to be a viable trade -- I said so without insulting you. And it's not my "job" to come up with a counter-trade because I don't want to; I think it's kind of boring. Ultimately you put it up presumably seeking comment and that's what you got.
As a GS fan, I'd think about it. Its painfully clear that the Curry, Monta, Lee core is a bad one. All of them are soft, none of them play defense, none has any kind of physical edge for their position (Monta is a great athlete but its neutralized by his lack of size). Wright has taken a step back this year but can still hit 3's and play decent defense. This trade would make us bigger, better defensively, more balanced. Really a better fit for Marc Jackson and the W's braintrust's vision. The main hold up that makes me consider not doing this trade is just that its kind of a lateral move. We swap star power/go-to scoring ability for better defense and probably better overall team play. That will make us better, but marginally so. We'd still be pigeon-holed into a late lotto to 7/8 seed team and we'd have no star and little means to acquire one. I guess it would ultimately be better to have the better team that fits MJ's coaching style better but its not a long term solution. Warriors seem opposed to blowing it up and starting over. An interesting thing to note is that Joe Lacob commented on his lack of interest in Wallace last trade deadline saying that he wasn't the kind of player they're going to go after. He wants to land a big fish without giving up Curry, which obviously isn't going to happen, so the W's will remain gridlocked in mediocrity until they realize they need to blow up this shitty ass, back asswards roster.
