Personally I don't see the nanny-stopper helping us very much right now. As Kobe Bryant one said; "he is a garbage player." Now that we have Randolph scrapping in the paint, we dont really need Patterson's boards and garbage points (put-backs). However if he is willing to play a role that consists solely of D and running the floor, he may be somewhat beneficial.
Ruben was the key to our team back then. Check the record, we went from winners to losers the very day Ruben left.
Dude was also brainless, and made as many ridiculous decisions as good moves. Really, he's just a stupider version of Martell: more muscle, less mind.
