I wish I was there too, but my heart and emotions were there with every Blazer fan, what a great day to be a Blazer fan!
Let's hope we bring some of this magic to game 6 and force a game 7. Can anyone believe this was a little under 2 years ago? jeez...
My roommates and I jumped up and down screaming then ran outside screaming and found our neighbors outside doing the same thing. I will never forget that. I wore my Sabonis jersey to class the next day and got like 350 comments from people.
I remember this day clearly.. I had just moved into a home with a roommate.. and Dish wasnt hooked up yet so I listened to it on the radio.. When they called the Hawks for the 3rd pick and I knew we had either Oden or Durant.. I ran outside screaming.. I to this day do not remember how I got outside I just remember being there.. I didnt even know we had the number one pick till I went back inside lol.
Great day for Blazer fans. I still get chills everytime I see that video. If you will notice, however, after the Blazers don't turn up at the No. 6 slot, everyone knows they are in the top 3. However, everybody still cheers just as loudly during picks 5 and 4, as if they are surprised that the Blazers don't turn up there. Pretty funny.
I remember once we were gauranteed durant or oden I jumped up and down and ran outside into the front yard with a couple buddies ecstatic beyond belief and then my gf and her friends just looked at us as if we were some wierdos with no comprehension of how big that day was.
I have to say I was pretty happy that day, but not nearly as happy as watching this team demolish Phoenix in the last two weeks of the season to really push the knife into the Suns' heart and pretty much assure a playoff berth. Man it feels good not having to talk about the draft lottery this year.
Honk Honk! I remember it. I was so happy we won so we could take the biggest lock since Lebron James - Kevin Durant. Oooooops. We ended up with a 7 footer that can't score against a 6'6 Chuck Hayes or 6'8 Carl Landry in the post.
