The spot where Joe Paterno's bronze likeness once stood is now occupied by freshly planted trees. The Centre Daily Times reports the trees were planted outside Penn State's Beaver Stadium over the weekend. The weekend before, workers removed the 7-foot statue of the late coach in the wake of a child-sex abuse scandal that has engulfed the university.
