The Trenton Thunder lost to the Binghamton Mets by a score of 5-3.

Erick Hacker pitched great last year and he continues to impress this year. In the first game of the season he gave up only 1 earned run on 6 hits in 5.1 innings for the no decision. I’m sure the reason he only pitched just a little over 5 innings is because it’s the start of the year.

When I look at the minor league games, I look at the important players and not so much if the team wins or loses even though it’s good to be in a winning environment.

The Trenton bullpen blew the game for Hacker. Kevin Whelan gave up 2 earned runs and Michael Dunn gave up 2 runs with 1 run being unearned.

    Catcher Francisco Cervelli went 0-for-4.
