    VITALS: 6-5, 218, Jackson State

OVERVIEW: The second-leading scorer in the nation at 27.1 points, Jackson was named the Southwestern Athletic Conference Player of the Year as a senior. He scored at least 30 points 13 times, including a career-high 49 against Texas-El Paso. Did not shrink away from the better competition even when his team was outclassed, pouring in 36, 33 and 32 points, respectively, against Alabama, Georgia Tech and Memphis. His overall shooting percentage dipped from .455 to .431 from his junior to senior seasons, with the biggest drop coming from the arc (.441 to .333).

    LIKELY DRAFT POSITION: Second-round pick.

    COMPARATIVE UPSIDE: Trenton Hassell

    COMPARATIVE DOWNSIDE: Reece Gaines

ROLE PROJECTION: Shooting guard off the bench.

POSITIVES: Johnson has a terrific shooting touch from 18 to 22 feet. He has the size and strength to be physical and knows how to use his body to ward off defenders. Johnson averaged 27 points per game despite the fact that defenses were being programmed to stop him. That means he has counters to the things that defenders try to do against him. Johnson takes the ball to the basket with authority and he punishes smaller guards with his muscle.
