President Donald Trump announced Thursday that Republicans have scrapped plans to hold convention activities in Jacksonville, Florida. The move is a striking turnaround for Trump, who moved the convention to Jacksonville after North Carolina's governor raised public health concerns about having massive gatherings in Charlotte, as the GOP had long planned. Pared-back events in Charlotte will still be held, Trump said. Trump said he informed his team that his focus was on protecting the American people, even though aides advised him they could make an in-person convention safe. This brings up a couple of issues for me. ok the words above are key to what the WH wants you to publicly believe. At the same time, it looks like someone close to him got to him! Good Next thought should be 'what about the children, teachers, cafeteria workers, janitors, principals and their staff? Pushing for schools to reopen as fast as they can is that because he wants to protect the American people? We are not even talking about the children themselves! A 9 year old girls died today by Covid-19, but imagine the families of all of the people at school they potentially can bring it home to their family members. Protect the American people or is most of his push, and he sees some success in it is nothing more than a plus for him to be re-elected. He could say only I could do this. He is willing to gamble with the young lives, the future of America in hopes of keeping his Presidency! And many of us are grand parents. Are you, we willing to sacrifice even one of grand kids just so Trump can win again? Add to this the armed protesters in Michigan and Trump more than once tweeted 'liberate' meaning open the state back up. Did he do that because he wants to keep Americans safe? Or was he pushing for a very early reopen in hopes the Covid-19 will magically disappear, and he would be setting good for re-election. Lets be clear here it is and always has been about Trump. If he thinks he can get the upper hand on something he will throw anyone under the buss. Even our kids and grand children and workers if it benefits HIM
