Nobody's been really happy with him for the past year+. Trump's picks for his administration were held up even until recently. The assistant attorney general who made the recommendation was confirmed 94-6 last week. Yeah, Hillary would have kept him in there for sure. Business as usual. Don't see how Trump isn't right here though. Comey would not be able to get past this all and do his job correctly.
No clue if Hillary would have kept him in their or not, but that is neither here nor there. There is nothing wrong with trump firing Comey, its the timing that is going to cause the majority of speculation.
Comey got fired because he is investigating the trump administration for Russia ties....i wouldn't be suprised if the new director suddenly closes the case
Comey didn't investigate anything. He was the FBI director, not an investigator. The FBI wasn't fired. The guy taking Comey's spot will continue any investigations that may or may not be ongoing.
