The Biedrins talk got me thinking...

Who else might fall victim to the Brandon Roy Rule if the rumored amnesty clause is, indeed, included in the new CBA?

Certainly Biedrins is one candidate for it, but who else out there are on bloated contracts that a team might look to jettison and could, potentially, represent other interesting FA targets?

Off the top of my head - Rashard Lewis, Corey Maggette, Travis Outlaw, Ben Gordon/Rip Hamilton all cometo mind.

They should name this clause after Rashard Lewis.

I can see Richard Jefferson doing a little dance singing "I'm getting PAID" when they tell him he is getting amnestyed

that would be an interesting player to pick up post amnesty- perfect fit if no one has cap room under the new CBA to sign him and we can convince him to come to the Blazers- he could play the 4 with Aldridge at the 5 at times...

I wonder how much he has left in the tank. Also, isn't he injury prone?

Didn't he just sign that deal 10 months ago? What the hell were the Spurs thinking. It's unfathomable to me how they get so much props for all their "genius" moves but they've made a number of stupid ones. Giving Jefferson a massive contract when no other team was interested. Trading Luis Scola away for a 2nd round pick. Dumping George Hill for the 15th pick in a very weak draft.

If they hadn't gotten the luck of the ping pong balls in a year with one of the best #1 prospects of all time I wonder how critics would rate that organization.

I've felt they were overrated for a long time. They scored on Duncan, and obviously Ginobili and Parker were great picks, but they haven't been able to do much since Duncan began showing his age. I also think Pop is overrated as a coach.

I agree, but I don't want to make Laker fans happy by putting down the Spurs.
