Interesting discussion...Here are a few of the key points....

Announcers thought Forman's press release was bush league in that the situation would be addressed at the end of the season. Felt like the NBA should step in now.

Talked about how Bulls front office has left VDN hanging in the wind all season. Van Gundy said this definitely has a negative impact on the team. "A house divided"

Van gundy also said how unusual that a GM would come talk to a coach and criticize immediately after a game. Said his GMs would always wait until the next day when 'cooler heads prevail'.

Van gundy also felt that VDN was doing a good job in part b/c of how good the Bulls d has been.

Paxon really needs to go. Van Gundy's thoughts would certainly be on the mind of any high-caliber coach. And not in a good way.

Maybe the Bulls need to offer the GM and coach job to the same guy to get around this BS.

Actually, I think Pax could handle that pretty well. :chestbump:

If nothing else, it would bring him closer to the experience of actually being a Bulls fan.

I thought it was kind of ironic that as Van Gundy was going on and on about the situation as a real coaches coach, and mentioned their good defense, the bulls were getting destroyed and playing shitty defense. I think Van Gundy might have scripted his five minute monologue. Paxson only keeps the guys who play defense. This team plays defense by default, or it doesn't come within 20 points of the other team. I'm pretty sure the extent of VDN's defensive impact is him telling the team that "defense is important."
