1. Toronto LaMarcus Aldridge 6-10 PF, Texas The Raptors need a big man that can run the court, block shots and can create on the offensive end and Aldridge is their guy. Dont be surprised of Toronto trades their pick to go down. Aldridge could be a good complement to Bosh and Villenueva both of those guys are too small to play the 5 and Aldridge can slip in their and play. 2. Chicago Andrea Bargnani 7-0 PF, Italy Chicago needs a big man to play since the trade of Curry(which is how they got here) they have no big guy down low. Bargani is not your typical banger but he is more like the Dirk Nowitzki type. The Bull could go for Tyrus Thomas here also. 3. Charlotte Adam Morrison 6-8 SF, Gonzaga The Bobcats need a reliable scorer and Morrison is their man. Morrison is a gifted offensive player but needs help playing defense. Morrison can come in Day 1 and start playing for the Bobcats. 4. Portland Brandon Roy 6-5 SG, Washington Apparently the Blazers are falling in love with Roy and his versatality. Roy went to college all four years and he as a lot of experience. Roy can score, rebound, and pass the ball something the Balzers need... a playmaker. 5. Atlanta Marcus Williams 6-3 PG, Connecticut First things off Atlanto should have not be in the position to draft a PG in this years drat they should have drafted Chris Paul last year. But you learn from your mistakes and this year the Hawks will drat a PG. Williams is a pass first PG that creates plays with his pin-point passing. Also Williams is not to shabby in the clutch as we all saw during March Madness. 6. Minnesota Tyrus Thomas 6-9 PF, LSU Thoams is a raw player and he can jump out of the building. Thomas is a gifted defensive talent and he will block everything in his reach and playing with garnett for a couple years will make Thoams a future DPOY. Thoams will be a steal in the future. 7. Boston Randy Foye 6-4 SG, Villanova Boston needs someone who is a proven scorer and athlete and after 4 years at Viilianova I think Foye fits the bill. Foye is more of an offensive player but he also does not give up playing defense. Foye can play both of the guard positions. 8. Houston Patrick O'Bryant 7-0 C, Bradley Houston does need a 3-point shooter and I was tempted to put Redick here but then I was thinking Houston has Yao and who else is their post player? Juwan Howard and Stromile Swift, Howard is on the decline and who knows when Swift will show up. O'Bryant will be the Robin to Yao's Batman in H-town. 9. Golden St. Rudy Gay 6-9 SF, Connecticut Dunleavy can not be the answer to the Warriors SF problem they need some new talent play that position. Rudy Gay has always had #1 potential but he drops this year because of his inconsitency. Gay can play really good and his one gifted player athleticly. Gay in the future can handle the #1 scorer role 10. Seattle Ronnie Brewer 6-7 SG, Arkansas Brewer is the most versatile player in thsi draft he can do anything and he can play the 1,2,3 evenly fluently. Brewer is being compared to Boris Diaw a guy who does a lot of stuff a team needs but they do it undercover. I say the Sonics wil be glad they draft Brewer. 11. Orlando Rodney Carney 6-7 SF, Memphis Rodney Carney is arugably the most athletic player in this draft. Carney is a combo of a SF/SG player and he can shoot the ball somethign Orlando needs next year when the opponets are double-teaming Dwight and Darko he can step right in ana make them pay. I could go with Redick here since he is a better shooter but that is all Redick has on Carney. Carney does not show up in some plays but he tries 100% when his head is in the game. 12. New Orleans Cedric Simmons 6-9 PF, NC State With the loss of Maglorie and potenially the loss of Brown the Hornets are in deperate need of some post players. Simmons is a under-rated guy that nobody really knows and when he declared for the draft people were surprised to see him in the lottery. Well Simmons is a guy like Brown because he can score and rebound and he does nto have to be the center of attention. 13. Philidelphia Rajon Rondo 6-2, Kentucky Iverson is SG he can not run PG day in and day out and the SIxers have not had a reliable PG since Eric Snow. Rondo is a defensive specialist and is Iverson can not guard the bigger 2-guards Rondo can with his long and quick arms. Rondo would fit in great with the Sixers. 14. Utah J.J. Redick 6-4 SG, Duke Finally I found a place for Redick the Utah Jazz. The Jazz have nobody really who can hit the three and spread the other teams defense. Redick can come play and be that guy who spread the D. Sloan will get eh most out of Redick and make him into a player like Jeff Hornacheck. 15. New Orleans Hilton Armstrong 6-11 C, Connecticut For the same reson above for the Hornets they lost Maglorie and Brown so they need some post players. Armstrong come up strong during his senior season with the Huskies. And with his shot-blocking abilty he can be a much-needed inside presence. 16. Chicago Mardy Collins 6-6 PG, Temple The Bulls are a short guard team with Hinrich, Duhon and Gordan. Collins can give them some credit and height with his height and playmaking abilty. Collins is an underrated player who can really be a player that the Bulls and their fans will coveted. 17. Indiana Jordan Farmar 6-2 PG, UCLA Jamaal Tinsley is a solid PG, but he is on the IR most of his career. Farmar can come in right away and be a PG he can create off the dribble and pass the ball to the scorers on the team. Farmar will become a pretty good PG in the future and he will never be great but he will never be bad. Solid choice. 18. Washington Shelden Williams 6-9 PF, Duke Williams is a defensive presence that any team would like to have. Williams was college DPOY at Duke and he rightfully earned the nickname "The Landlord" this is kind of a drop considering Williams is lottery talent but the Wizards would be gald to draft him here. 19. Sacramento Quincy Douby 6-3 SG, Rutgers Were where the Kings when they had Bobby Jackson? In the WCF and Douby is Jackson's clone, a fast PG who is a spark and can score at will. The Kings would be gald to draft Douby who can step right in and be a back-up PG to Mike Bibby. 20. New York Shawne Williams 6-9 SF, Memphis Williams is a pretty good talent and the Knicks need some potential on their team with their great rookie calss last year I am sure they would like Williams on their team. Williams is an athletic SF who is a gifted defensive talent. 21. Phoenix Mouhamed Saer Sene 7-0 C, Senegal The Suns have time to send Saer Sene overseas and watch him develope over their and when he is ready to play American ball he will step right in and be a dominate force that can start opposite of Amare and create a pretty good duo down low. 22. New Jersey Tiago Splitter 7-0 PF, Brazil The Nets are really an unknown post team. Splitter who was always considered a lottery player drops because teams unsure if he will play. But the Nets select Splitter on their need of an inside presence. Splitter can start from day one most likely. 23. New Jersey Shannon Brown 6-3 SG, Michigan State The second of the Nets 2 picks in the first round goes to a guard. Brown is one special player he can guard the 1,2,3, and 4 spots and he is heavily being compared to Boris Diaw a player that can most of the positions. Brown can back up both Carter and Jefferson and potentially become a starter in the future. 24. Memphis Kyle Lowry 6-0 PG, Villanova The loss of Jason Williams rally degraded the Mamphis PG depth. Lowry and his non-stop hustle style can really change the tempo of the game and can really make Memphis a run and gun team which is more in style in todays game of basketball. 25. Cleveland Richard Roby 6-5 SG, Colorado Cleveland is always looking for a 3-point threat and Roby can come in quickly and shoot the three and spread the defense and make LeBron more of a team player. Roby will potentialy become a 3-point champ. 26. Los Angeles Leon Powe 6-8 PF, California Kwame is not the answer to the need at the 4 spot for the Lakers. When Bynum and Powe become friends and create chemistry this Lakers frountcourt will become lethal and also with Kobe Bryant this Lakers team will become a team to watch. 27. Phoenix Sergio Rodriguez 6-3 PG, Spain Rodriguez is being compared to the great Steve Nash and who else is better to replace nash than somebody who plays like Nash. Rodriguez will probably have to wait a while for his turn to play but when that comes he will be ready. 28. Dallas Guillermo Diaz 6-3 SG, Miami Diaz is a player who is vastly underrated and will become an instant spark for the Dallas Mavericks and their style of play. Diaz can do almost evrything no the court and can really help the Mavs abd contribute weel. Diaz and Harris will become a pretty good backcourt in the future. 29. New York Aaron Gray 7-0 C, Pittsburgh The Knicks have no big post players and Eddy Curry is an exception in the post and that is about all after the trade that sent Kurt Thomas away. Gray can come in bang around in the post and become a big player off the bench. 30. Portland Paul Davis 6-11 C, Michigan State Davis has become one of the most versatile and consitent post players in awhile. Davis will be a nice compliment to Randolph and the Blazers.
I think teams will draft based on talent as opposed to need. Take the best player on the board... I dont think marcus williams was better than rudy on that uconn squad.
Pretty good overall but I doubt Ager gets left out of the first round, his stock is going way up. I like alot of the picks and even have some identical picks in my mock.
