I know it seems like a short amount of time and it may still be too soon and I think I'll try doing this again once the season has started but as of today would you boo Dame, cheer for him or sit on your hands and did what happened yesterday change your response?

The results from the previous poll showed that 20.9% of people who answered would either definitely boo Dame or might have.

This seems as good a place to do this as anywhere. I want to say my apologies to anyone who I got extra salty with during this ordeal. I have deep emotional roots in Blazers fandom stretching back to being a 1 year old when we won the Championship and my dad taking me out into the streets to celebrate. Some of my first words apparently were "TWO FOR LARUE!", ( you have to be an OG to understand that Schonley ref). My father and I had a complex relationship and Basketball was one of the few pure and joyful areas, at least in terms of Blazers fandom. I probably get more emotional about the Blazers than anything that isn't deeply personal in life.

So, to anyone I might have gotten sideways with, I want to publicly apologize. I was devastated by what felt like a Dame betrayal. Seeing him go to Milwaukee with Giannis has healed that. So my bad and I am legitimately sorry for anyone to whom I was over the top with including you Blazerkor as I mostly have strong agreement with your excellent analysis.

P.S. to answer the OP, I hope to score Bucks tickets and personally give Dame a standing ovation, hopefully with my oldest son.

Even though I think it's fucked asking out of a contract with four years left, Dame would have to kill my dog or something before I'd ever boo him. Since I don't have a dog that seems unlikely.

No, I said I would but that was emotions and being worn down by the almost 3-month ordeal. Am happy for Dame and our teams as well as we have a good start to a rebuild. And Dame not going to Miami did help a good bit.

At no point during all this did the thought of booing Dame cross my mind (outside of this message board asking the question).

No. But after his antics on the way out of Portland, I won't ever watch him play basketball again.

Props man. It was devastating for me as well and that's what made this situation so tough. Dame motivated me to start covering the team and that's turned into a career as a graphic designer and allowed me to meet a ton of awesome people I consider good friends. He gave me a lot of great moments in tough times. So I fully relate to the emotion wrapped up in this. It was a super messy situation that I know we disagree on, with the truth probably being somewhere in the middle. But I'm happy to move on from this with no hard feelings towards you or anyone else. Super excited to see what's next and happy to be able to see Giannis and Dame play together.

I was willing to Boo Dame if he was still a member of the Blazers because a trade request in the manner he did it was disrespectful to the organization as well as the fans.

Since that chapter is over with and resolved in a way I'm happy with, Ill probably forgive and move on. I'll focus more on the many good times than these few bad.

Never intended to Boo Dame if this was resolved.

I won't boo him, but I won't give him a rousing ovation. A polite clap. His behavior this summer is the reason for the change.

That being said, when he goes in the HoF as a Buck, I will hate him like I hate Clyde.

He says that now. Winning a couple of championships in Milwaukee may change his tune.

Let's just say I'm bracing myself. I loved Glide and rooted hard for that Houston team; that move to forget the Blazers soured me on him overnight.

Even tho I'm a brand new day 1 bandwagon fan. I just wanna say that I'm very much against those who were booing Dame..

Far as I can see, as an outsider, dude tried his damn hardest for years and years and years.. Its actually mystifying to me how that came to pass, booing a player whos trying to get the rest of the team involved n then is tryiong to carry the win in the 4th quarter..

dame wasnt good enough to do it by himself, thats no reason to boo his effort, the guy gave it everything he had! its kind of offensive to me, just as someone who works hard themselves, to see dame getting boo'd -- i wonder how hard these people work doing the booing or if their like the entitled children of rich parents or something..

its stuff like that, which makes me wanna boo the fans!! It's not like dame was some ball-hog, he's an excellent team player, a true point guard.

its like let me tune into the game to boo the fans in the front row seats who just are there cuz their company bought the box seats n they dont know the game or care n its a matter of status... I could care less about wins or losses, i watch the NBA to boo those types of fans in the first row..

just wanted to make that clear.. yall need to go do some mediation or find a hobby instead of wasting your energy booing someone whos historically excellent at their jobs like Dame.. If people were as good at their jobs as dame lillard is at playing PG, this world would be a lot better place.. how dare yall boo that man he represented hard as he could.. n lotta your efforts arent good enough either, but no one shows up to boo you over it en mass, cuz no one really cares.. /endrant
