    Long out of playoff contention, the Carolina Hurricanes are determined to get something out of a lost season.

    Tim Brent and Brandon Sutter scored during a 48-second span of the third period and the Hurricanes rallied to beat the Minnesota Wild 5-3 on Saturday.
