By Bryan Hoch / MLB.com NEW YORK -- Mark Teixeira has been searching for answers so desperately of late, he even volunteered to take fewer swings in batting practice. Teixeira saved a good one for just the right time on Sunday, belting a hanging Tony Sipp curveball over the left field wall for a go-ahead, three-run homer, lifting the Yankees to a 7-3 victory over the Indians at Yankee Stadium. The first baseman's 250th career homer and eighth of the season came as part of a five-run seventh inning, as the Bombers finally cracked through after being stifled by Justin Masterson. Derek Jeter's two-out, two-run single chased the Tribe right-hander and helped atone for a throwing error in the top half of the inning before Sipp served up the go-ahead shot to Teixeira, who had just one RBI in his previous 11 games coming into play Sunday. New York's late push helped to make a winner of right-hander A.J. Burnett, who was sharp through seven innings, limiting Cleveland to one earned run -- a Trevor Crowe RBI single in the third inning -- on five hits, walking none and striking out eight. Cleveland added two unearned runs in the seventh, with all the damage coming after there were two outs. Luis Valbuena scored on a Jeter throwing error, as his toss to first base on a Lou Marson grounder pulled Teixeira off the bag. Jason Donald then blasted a triple off the right-field wall that eluded Nick Swisher, who crashed into the wall. Juan Miranda added to the Yanks' haul with an RBI double in the eighth, and Francisco Cervelli got New York another run in the frame with a sac fly.
