T'Wolves posted a franchise low 26 points in the first half. Very ugly game for the Wolves from the begining of the game. First quarter only Garnett and Sprewell scored. Rockets had a fabalous game from both Steve Francis who posted 19 pts, and 7 asists, and Yao Ming who posted 22 points and 15 rebounds. Garnett shot terribly from the floor, going 7-20, and only scoring 19 and grabbing 7 boards. Sam added 25, majority of them came in the 2nd half and Latrell had 13, shooting 6-16 from the floor. Clearly the Wolves over looked the game. The 5 game winning streak was snapped. Recap | Box Score
Yoa Ming really used his size to perfection in this game. I think this lose will help the t-wolves. The T-wolves came out slow against the Hornets & the Spurs but they came back to win both games. but todays slow start came back to bit them in the ass. the t-wolves didnt start playing with any energy(sam included) until they were down by 18. In most wins the t-wolves are the team that comes out with all the first quarter energy, now hopefully they can get back to being that type of team after suffering this big of a loss. And the Rockets did an excellent job clogging up the lane to prevent the big three from getting where they wanted. And Yoa changed alot of shots. I want to see how the t-wolves, come out an play on monday vs the hornets(another hard game). Sam, KG, & Spree have alot of pride. And I dont think they were happy with their national TV performance. I think they should really be energized in the 1st come monday.
Cato was changing shots, too. The Rockets have such good defense in man to man it looks like a zone, but it's not. The Wolves took too many jumpshots early on.
Rockets won this game basically because the Rockets were hitting on all cylinders and the Wolves were having a terrible night.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Crossover:</div><div class="quote_post">And the Wolves (other than Cassizzle) can't shoot.</div> Actually it was a terrible off night. Yes Cassell is the best shooter, but KG missed shots he makes 90% of the time, Fred Hoiberg was missing wide open shots he usually makes, and Trenton Hassell was taking shots I was cringing at him taking, because he shouldn't be taking those shots. It was an off night for the entire Big 3, yes Cassell had 25, but it was all at the end of the game when the Wolves were making a late run at the lead.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting allnet:</div><div class="quote_post">Please tell me why what team he supports has anything to do with his statement?</div> It only comes into effect because he say his comment like the spurs never struggle to score, when on offense the spurs struggle alot.
Alright ladies, Wolves didn't shoot well in this game, Spurs don't shoot well period. Lets keep comments to the game.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Henacy:</div><div class="quote_post">It only comes into effect because he say his comment like the spurs never struggle to score, when on offense the spurs struggle alot.</div> I've never noticed him say like that,It is pointless getting a cheap shot in on his team just because he makes a comment you disagree with.He has a point in what he says, outside of the big 3 no one on the current active Wolves roster has a consistant jump shot.Although It's not a bad thing considering the way the big 3 for the Wolves have been scoring. As for the game,It seems like Rockets are finally using Yao's size to their advantage.Giving him the ball on the low block should be their focus every time down the floor.
Well I'll take my comment back since everyone thinks it was a cheapshot. but I was just pointing out the fact like the old saying goes "people in glass houses shouldnt throw stones". but if it offended any other spurs fans I take it back.
Bad game for the Wolves. It happens, but we are good team and we will be able to get by that. Next time we will actually show up, but this loss reminded me of that New Jersey game. Man alive, I hope this doesn't affect our chemistry at all.
