Can you measure how huge this game is? I don't think so.
    1 - It's the Spurs
2 - Playoff implications (chasing that 8th or 7th seed means we need all the wins we can muster)
3 - Playoff implications (Spurs will likely be waiting for us)
    4 - Duncan and KG......enough said

There are other things to be pointed out, but these are big points already. My hope is Wolves by 3

It's already been said, this could be a huge game, if won.
I normally wouldn't give them a slight chance of beating San Antonio, but the fact that they just got back a bunch of players, and San Antonio could be missing a few, gives the Wolves a chance to take advantage.I'm looking towarrd Sam and KG to being the key players in a win.

Prediction- Wolves by 9, or no win at all.

Every game is huge and that's the way it's going to be for the next two months.

I hope Popovich takes it easy on the Wolves. I hear Manu and Parker won't play. I would love it even more if Duncan did not play.

I will be crossing my fingers when I am watching the game tonight on ESPN.

    *edit
half time were down 12 51-39....wally helped us coming in and did most of it in getting it down to 5...but bowen than started sitting on his ass and that's how it went back to double digits...our perimeter deffense sucked alll game long! horry has had 3-4...out total D sucked but weve gotta get it better in the seconed half....all i can say is GOOD LUCK doing so....

yeah, Minnesota's performance thus far has been atrocious. They really arent a match for San Antonio, and I doubt their grip on this game is going to loosen.

Timberwolves got their rearends kicked by the Spurs tonight. It was over by the start of the third quarter. When the Spurs got off to a great start in the third quarter, this was over. It was like someone put a pin in the balloon and the balloon burst. That what happened when the third quarter started. Wolves just got slaughtered by the Spurs and you know what. This might just happen in the playoffs. Timberwolves fans might have to get used to this if this is the first round matchup between Wolves and Spurs. Spurs was way too physical against the Timberwolves and as ESPN's Tim Legler said in the telecast, the Wolves are just not physical enough to beat the Spurs.

The only time the Timberwolves made it close was when they were down by 5 in the second quarter. That was as good as it was going to get for the Wolves because after that, the Spurs took care of business and it wasn't pretty. You had a good feeling that it was going to get ugly in the beginning as the Spurs were shooting lights out to start the game. When Robert Horry start the game by shooting from downtown, I knew it was going to be a long night.

I spoke to a campus officer about Latrell Spreewell as I was picking my paycheck from work tonight. I was telling this officer about how Latrell's legs have caught up to him and how his legs has aged him. Boy was that the truth. Latrell could not make layups or try to shoot from the paint. He was missing them. It's been the story of his season and the story of his tenure with the Timberwolves.

KG and Duncan offset each other. It came down to the supporting cast and as usual, the Spurs supporting cast dominated the Wolves supporting cast and it shows which supporting cast is better tonight. Spurs got younger and faster athletes complemented with savvy veterans who know how to make big shots. It's no secret why they have the best record in the NBA and why the Spurs are pretty good in evaulating talent.

Wolves better get over this loss real quickly because they got Memphis Friday night and Houston Sunday night. If they go on a losing streak, this season could get really ugly fast.

Well, the sad thing is that this game showed tha even if Minnesota was to make it to the 8th spot, they wouldn't even have a slim chance. They have been dominated by the defense and offense power, and if they were playing on a play-off level, it would be twice as bad.

KG has been angry all season, but it just isn't enough. KG isn't having a very good season himself. KG can be angry all he wants, but this team just can get it done, and I really cant imagine a turnaround at this point.

Looking at Denver's games, your not giving them enough credit. The only team on that list that they havent beat is San Antonio, and when they played them the other day, they lost by only 3. Denver has way more desire, from ALL of it's players, and that has been allowing them to take down near every team in their path, and that's not going to stop. Because of that I see them taking 7th, which would then make it a two-team race, in which I have to say I see Los Angeles winning since they have players that can put up consistent big numbers. Minnesota used to have that, but not this year.

hey there aren't you forgeting something?! denver beat SAS witch didn't have duncan at the time...as well as MANU, and parker jumping back from injury, and you all saw how Timmy D played today! he had extreme numbers above is averages....another point is that- don't you all forget minny came from a game the night before at DALLAS where they gave it full strength!!!
so coming from dallas into the toughest arena in the league aint easy at all!

One thing you can appreciate about the Spurs.....if your not legit, they'll let you know. I haven't seen the Spurs fall off on any game (meaning they didn't show up for the most part), but I haven't seen all of their games.

Last nights game was interesting to me because guys showed up, but not at the same time. It was like KG was like "Whew, showed I was here. Anybody else?" in the 1st quarter. Then Spree was like "Here" in the second when KG went to lunch. Wally was like "Don't forget about THE WORLD now after Spree went to feed his kids. I just thought it was kinda awkward.

Alot of people are forgetting that 1) The Spurs are a beatable team and I saw signs of that last night. 2) The Suns or maybe the Sonics could take the #1 seed and the Wolves could play one of them in the first round.

They tend to not show up against bad teams but against the elite the record is pretty damn impressive. Robert Horry sure did show up big time with 4-5 threes. Hopfully he stays fresh for the playoffs and brings that touch with him.

Never thought I would ever feel sorry for KG and the state his team has been in this year. Yikes
