Can't wait to see those mock turtle necks on the sidelines.
If he is as good as coach as he is a gm, t'wolves fan should be moving on to a new team. Bucks maybe? Bulls?

The dude is just doing anything he can to save his job. What is amazing to me, is that after years of horrible personnel decisions, and multiple coach firings, is that he still has his job.

Agreed. The guy that is doing the firing is the one that needs to be fired.

    Beat me to it, dpc.

Especially when they play the Celtics. McHale has been a pretty good GM for Boston, unfortunately, Minny was paying him.

I assume Wittman is coming to Chicago then in some role.

I thought he served as an interim in Garnett's last season, no?

Kevin McHale has a 31-19 career coaching record.

Is the plan to make Wittman the new GM, then? Because that would be good news for Wolves fans.

Let me add to the chorus of sports fans the world over who express dismay on an hourly basis that McHale is still employed as a GM.

I wonder if it's more or less insulting to be hired by an entirely incompetent boss?

Ask Lions fans how well this will turn out for them....I think McHale=Millen.

I always wonder what kind of security a guy like McHale has around him, I would have good security if I were him.

Good Pitino reference there, but I think "lumbering" is more apt. Or perhaps "shambling".

Now we have an answer to "who's worse than Mike Dunleavy at both jobs"?

    Easy one - Isiah Thomas.

Seriously, McHale is now the Isiah Thomas of the North without a sexual harrassment case against him.

But Isiah (to his credit?) never tried to circumvent NBA rules for Joe Smith's HoF-level services.

So he's got that going for him.

Isiah Thomas also drafted decently. The same can't be said for McHale (and drafting Roy and Mayo, only to deal them on draft day, doesn't count).

Didn't McFail also draft KG? He did draft decently (or more than that) at least once.

Yup. One great pick. Shame, for Minnesota, that the vision and boldness he showed at the time (as Garnett was considered a very risky, controversial pick at the time) was not to be a repeated trait.
