Seems the Bobcats are signing Al Jefferson and are going to amnesty our good friend Tyrus.

Any chance Bulls management thinks they can play the p-p-p-potential fool the fans game with him again?

    I doubt it.

To think we drafted LA and traded him away for TT. I wanted TT as well. Thought LA was too soft.

    What do I know...

The Bulls rolled dice on Thomas and unfortunately, came up snakeyes. "Better to have loved and lost..." and all that crap.

I also liked the Thomas pick. :smiley-pat:

    FWIW

I remember posting on draft day that we should have kept LMA. Not only that, but we had the 16th pick we used on Rodney Carney (another brilliant pick!). I thought we should have tried use that pick to move up to take Brandon Roy. When it was over, the Blazers had the draft I wanted for the Bulls.

To this day, I don't get how the Bulls could pass up Aldridge when he played a position we desperately needed to fill, and the guy was a solid 2-way player in college from a winning program, with "can't miss" written all over him.

    Nice call on Aldridge.

And as I'm sure you recall, the Bulls did use that 16th pick to move up, but it was for Thabo Sefolosha who the Sixers selected with the 12th pick. Sefolosha is a nice player, but the Bulls drafted him in the hopes that he could be used with Ben Gordon the same way Hinrich was, that is, as the PG on offense, but the SG on defense. What we learned was that Thabo couldn't handle the PG duties and was a sub-par shooter. Seeing that Sefolosha made 42% of his 3-pointers last season on decent volume makes me want to stand up and applaud the young man. He clearly has worked on his game.

Wonder whose soul he's eating now?

Sorry -- dark humor helps make the best of a bad situation. The guy could have been a contenda.
