Re: UFC 112: Invincible (Apr. 11th) Notes on the event: -- The UFC's middle-eastern debut takes place at the still-under-construction Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi. The UFC recently struck up a partnership with Flash Entertainment, the marketing company run by the UAE government and billionaire Sheikh Tahnoon. -- UFC 112 will also be the UFC's first outdoor event. The affect the weather may have on the fighters or the Octagon is unknown. -- Anderson Silva was originally scheduled to face Vitor Belfort but The Phenom was forced out of the fight due to injury.
Re: UFC 112: Invincible (Apr. 11th) 3 squash matches and 2 I don't care about... yikes. still love to see BJ and Anderson work so it'll be worth watching.
Re: UFC 112: Invincible (Apr. 11th) http://www.sherdog.com/news/articles/Gracie-Guard-is-the-Key-Against-Hughes-23659 ^ Interview with Renzo in which he says the guard is key vs. Hughes, that he (Renzo) hits like a girl, making up for Royce's loss, and more. Renzo is the best.
Re: UFC 112: Invincible (Apr. 10th) our picks...... http://www.7milesdown.com/2010/04/04/ufc-112-invincible-abu-dhabi/
Re: UFC 112: Invincible (Apr. 10th) Renzo already talking about dropping to lightweight after this fight... says he expects to be 175-178lbs. vs. Hughes.
Re: UFC 112: Invincible (Apr. 10th) Looking better. Can you believe they built this shit in under a month?
Re: UFC 112: Invincible (Apr. 10th) If you're wondering what the UFC might do to deal with weather (rain, wind, sandstorms, etc.) in the open-air Concert Arena for the show--wonder no longer. The answer is nothing. Dana White says he has no backup plan and the show will simply be pulled if the weather is bad. Sucks to be anyone who made the trek to UAE, I guess.
Re: UFC 112: Invincible (Apr. 10th) These damn Shieks got money up the arse! Send me a couple million please so I can put money down on BJ PENN!
Re: UFC 112: Invincible (Apr. 10th) 30% chance of rain (unless Penn loses, in which case 100% chance or precipitation).
Re: UFC 112: Invincible (Apr. 10th) umm, they built an entire fucking stadium in less than one month and you're telling me they can't put up a tarp if it rains? that's a bunch of shit. seriously those guys can probably just hire a few helicopters to hold up a tarp for the duration of the show.
Re: UFC 112: Invincible (Apr. 10th) Yeah. They could build a canvas out of $100 bills too. These guys have money to burn. Hopefully they sort something out in the next couple days.
