    Brock has come down with diverticulitis again. Carwin will step in to fight JDS. Brock says his fight career isn't over.

    Carwin-JDS is still a top notch HW battle. Interesting for JDS because Lesnar was never going to engage in the stand up with him. Wouldn't surprise me if Carwin opts to wrestle JDS the whole fight BUT Carwin may challenge a little more in the standup. Of course if Dos Santos gets caught it could be lights out for him. But JDS has damn good power himself and much more speed. Probably better BJJ if Carwin wrestles him. Overall Carwin is more dangerous than Lesnar but we have no indication that Carwin has any kind of gas tank and although Carwin can put your lights out pretty easily, JDS does have tremendous power and quickness. He should try and keep his distance, avoid the takedown, and strike conservatively in the first round. Get more aggressive as the fight goes on and Carwin tires.

    Sucks for Brock though. I think hes an asshole but I do feel terribly for him.

    I read yesterday that Lesnar might pull out of the fight but I thought it was just a made-up rumour.

    Unfortunate news both because it is a serious medical issue and because it is the second time we're not going to see coaches fight in three seasons.

    You think so? JDS has tremendous boxing but Carwin has that ability to rock you on the shittiest of punches. JDS should win most of the exchanges due to technique and quickness but you have to think Carwin lands something at some point. Not sure if JDS's chin has really been tested (?). Obviously JDS has great power as well but you do have to keep in mind its like these guys are two different weight classes. JDS is always 235ish and Carwin cuts like mad to get down to 265 and hes heavier than that on fight night.

    Interesting though, this will be Carwin's first fight back after the steroids bust. Watching some of his old fights, he used to weigh in around 255 IIRC. Not sure if he had to cut because maybe other promotions have a 255 lb limit but always thought it was interesting that he came in at 255 and then in the UFC people spoke of him walking around between camps at 300 lbs. and cutting to make 265. Can't wait to see what he weighs in at and what he looks like.

    Facebook and YouTube will both be broadcasting the five preliminary bouts, beginning at 5.50pm ET.

    The Facebook stream has been pretty good so far; hopefully YouTube will be HD.

    Carwin accused of using steroids and drops 20-lbs., total coincidence.

    Massenzio coming in at 201-lbs. indicates he isn't really a LHW and probably cut nothing. K-Sos should be much bigger.
