Cerrone, who has toyed with the idea of a move to featherweight, has taken this fight at welterweight.
wow Tim means has 7 UFC fights.... never heard of him. IMO he's just going to end up being a victim here... but there may be some bias in that assessment. Guess I should be paying more attention to the undercards.
So, Tim Means has been popped, so Donald Cerrone doesn't have an opponent. Means contests that he is clean but there is no time to schedule a challenge between now and the event so he's out.
I imagine a ton of 170'ers would love to try and make a name for themselves facing Cowboy... and hopefully get their ass whupped.
I don't want to be too hard on Bellator but holy shit is it good to have this card tonight to wash the taste out.
If you're looking at this card thinking wow I don't want to have to sit through six+ hours of fights, the Bermudez/Kawajiri fight should start around 9:45 p.m. ET. Probably a good place to jump in.

Cerrone was getting beat up to the body in the first before scoring a takedown, resisting Oliveria's get-up attempt, moving from half-guard to mount, and securing a mounted to roll-over triangle (all legs) for the win. Excellent display of ring and grappling awareness. Oliveira tapped fast but obviously Cerrone has very seasoned technique and the head-pull isn't always necessary. Still see a lot of potential in Oliveria but I'd like to see how he deals with sustained wrestling/grappling pressure in his next fight. I didn't see the Bermudez fight but great KO's for Camozzi, Garbrandt, and Brunson tonight. Also I don't give a wet fuck about the Pittsburgh Steelers. Does the UFC really think people are tuning in because the Steelers are there? Good cleanse from Friday night's debacle.
