    Notes on the event:

    -- Roger Huerta had his seventeen-fight winning streak snapped by Kenny Florian last August. The fight was a title contender eliminator and helped lead Florian towards a shot at BJ Penn's title. Huerta hasn't fought since, focusing on acting and modeling in the meantime. The fight is the last on Huerta's contract and there is some ambiguity as to whether he will continue to be an MMA fighter or take time off afterwards. His opponent, Gray Maynard, is undefeated in UFC competition. An exciting win over Huerta would put him in line for a chance at his friend Penn's title. Maynard's wrestling-heavy style has won him unanimous decisions in his last four bouts but little fan appreciation.

    -- Carlos Condit was originally scheduled to face Chris Lytle at this event but Lytle sustained a knee injury in training and was forced to withdraw. Lytle's replacement is UFC newcomer Jake Ellenberger.

    -- Former top WEC light heavyweights Brian Stann and Steve Cantwell will meet for the third time at this event. Cantwell won the last bout at WEC 35 by TKO, whereas Stann won their first at WEC 26, also by TKO. The two were supposed to have their rubber match at UFC Fights for the Troops in December but Stann was unavailable.

    -- Phillipe Nover replaces an injured Kyle Bradley vs. Sam Stout.

    Hes probably my favorite fighter. At least in my top 3. I also love his attitude plus hes from the outer Bay Area. Nate Diaz is the one fighting on this card though and I pretty much only like him because I like Nick so much.

    This card isn't bad for a free event though. Keep the freebies coming UFC.

    I hope Maynard smashes Huerta, but that being said, I hope that Huerta will continue fighting, the guy is very exciting.

    "Fainting" Phillipe Nover had a seizure in the locker room and his bout with Sam Stout has been canceled, according to DW's Twitter.
