Melbourne's Etihad Stadium seats 54,000 people and is figuring into the UFC's plans for 2015. An upcoming election may decide if cage fights are allowed in the province of Victoria, paving the way for what would be one of the biggest shows the UFC has ever done. UFC 129 at Rogers Centre in Toronto hosted just over 55,000 fans. Depending on the configuration of floor seating at Etihad they could break that record. UFC's Tom Wright has said that the show would feature the first title fight held in Australia.
lets hope they have the common sense to stack the card rather than tossing a bunch of Aussie's on there and thinking that'll sell out the place.
