The UFC isn't necessarily going to take Spike TV's persistent counter-programming in stride, it seems. If you don't already know, the UFC and Spike had a contentious break-up this past year, with the UFC moving to FOX & Friends and Spike keeping the UFC's video library until 2013. Every time the UFC puts on a show on FOX, FX, or Fuel, Spike TV runs similar UFC programming on their network, usually mimicking the UFC's event title with something very similar in an attempt to confuse viewers. For example, the UFC had a Cain Velasquez vs. Junior dos Santos title fight on FOX, and at the same time Spike ran a three-hour block of UFC back catalog titled "Velasquez vs. Dos Santos: Unleashed for the Heavyweight Title". Sneaky, right? Well, the UFC just moved Spike TV's golden child, reality show The Ultimate Fighter, from Spike to FX, and it debuted last night. Spike is running old episodes of The Ultimate Fighter, hosted by Kimbo Slice (who spent a minute with the UFC a while back). Not to be outdone, the UFC hired Kimbo Slice to do an ad for The Ultimate Fighter on FX in which he insists that the ONLY PLACE TO WATCH The Ultimate Fighter is on FX. So it's Kimbo vs. Kimbo.
