I think Cuban will do what he has to to keep Nash in town. Nash and Finley are the heart of that team and it would be a huge blow to let one/or both walk away.

Excellent for the Raps if they could get him...and good for Nash obviously from Canada...but I think Cuban wants Nash in Dallas.

Wow, wait a second. If the raptors are able to sign steve Nash, it will help Vince sooo much, he can average 30 points have sure. Nash can just ally-oops to VC all the time. I think that Vince will step up too. I say Nash will go with the Raptors if they can give him big cash. But i think taht playing for your country is very honorable to Nash.

This rumor has been floating around since before the season even started. As of yet, I've seen nothing confirming that TO is where Nash wants to be.

The canada connection has probably caused the creation of this rumor in Nash's FA season. It makes sense that he MIGHT want to go back to Canada to finish his career, but I think it's more speculation by fans than legitmate desire by Nash.

No offense to anyone here, but Toronto fans are some of the worst on the Net for creating thier own rumors, IMO. Far too many times, they are one-sided, pipe-dreams to boot.

I'm not calling this one that, because it at least has some plausibility to it, but Cuban's got the bank role and Dallas has a much better team, which will likely be more enticing than anything the Raps can offer.

I don't see this one happening. I think the only time that Nash will be playing for TO is when he already has a championship ring or if he's really really old and has a few years left in his career. That way, he can settle down in his homeland.

nash wants to retire as a maverick but he said if it doesn't work out TO is his second choice, but it's a long shot.

That would be a good move for nash he is originally from canada and the raptors have major problems at the point and center position there original point guard the last one that lead them to the playoffs alvin williams is still on the teams but has suffered to amny injuries to play sifficiant minutes in the playoffs and they should'nt but rose at point because that would take away from his game a little playing out of position.

With nash there they would have a pure point guard who has proven he can succeed around other super stars without the entire offense revolving around him scoring wise. This would also give the raptors 3 former all stars VC, Rose, Nash with with all of them healthy could provide a very formitable opponent for any team.

And if they use there high draft pick wisely and draft a center to the play along bosh they would be set to make a playoff push of course all this is a matter of if they get nash or how high there draft pick is but hypathetically this could happen

Cuban might be willing to swing a trade for Nash if it means that the Mavs would be getting Donyell Marshall and Chris Bosh. Anything less and he'll just hang onto the Canadien Kid.

I could see Nash in a Toronto Jersey. He's doing his thing in Dallas. But the direction that the Dallas Mavs are heading in isnt part of Steve Nash agenda. I wouldnt be surprised at all if he leaves Dallas and play's for his hometown. Dallas better hope they dont get eliminated in the first round. If they do. I think Steve Nash will want to leave for sure.

well, the dude that told me said he saw it on the news, but as nash wants to be paid like the elite PG he is, it might not be good for the raptors now. (cap issues, at all?)

I think(my friend wasn't clear, hes pretty hyped up about things like this) that Nash expressed interest in coming back to Canada. But not immediately.

All the Torotno Raptors fasn can dream, cuz like msot of you i doubted it would happen.

Ok, Thank you. It's not a definitive source, but it closes research gaps, so that helps. Thanks

hmmm....Dallas at Sac town, i cant see how the maricks can win the Kings, Peja is too good, and C-Webb is getting better if Bob Jax are healthy then Dallas has no hope. Anyway, there is no way Dallas can pass the first round, so Nash might being tried in the western confences. ALso with the way Maquses Daniel are playing, Mark Cuban might not want Nash as much as he want in hte begining. If the raptors can sign nash, and starting line up like this
    PG Nash
    SG Rose
    SF Vince
    PF Bosh
    C Dawight Howard?
    six man- Donyall Marshall.
i think they should never draft Okafort, he is the same type of player as Bosh, similar height, and similar skills, need more low post skills but Okafor has all those back problems, but he can trade Okafor and somebody like Donyall for very good center like Z. or Erick Dampier.

i had a dream a while back that toronto traded their jalen and donyell for nash and jamison

unfortunatly nash in a raps uni is just that...a dream. it wont happen. dallas arent that far off from being a legit championship contender, and nash likes it in big d, likes his team, likes the organization

with all the problems the raptors front office is having, i hardly see toronto being an attractive place for big name players to come

it sure would be nice though

If anything is going to happen, it's gonna be in this offseason I think. It depends on how they play against the Kings. I've heard of a blockbuster with Dirk for Vince and a later to be named. All speculation at this time, but I've been to Dallas newspaper forums, and there has been some grumbling from fans because of the lack of defense that Dirk brings. It may be a feeling of "We won't be able to make it any closer to a ring with our current team". But I've heard that Nash loves HIS TEAMMATES (not the city in particular) of Finley and Nowitzki.
