I look around the Myspace music section a lot and I find a lot of good music. I was wondering if anyone knew anyone good that people don't know about. Here's some people I found:

    Turf Talk
    The Pack
    BHI
    The Federation
    Drino Man
    The Team

Here's some funny ones I found just to amuse you people:

Bohagon: Listen to "Take a Picture of Me"
Gotty Boi Chris: He just repeats same thing over and over, I'll get link later

I dunno much about myspace artists (I'm never use myspace in the first place) but back when I used to listen to underground, which was like grade 9ish (back when I first joined this site), these were some of the artists I used to listen to:

    Sage Francis
    Aesop Rock
    Jedi Mind Tricks
    Cannibus
    Tech Nine
    Atmosphere
    Benefit (amazingly good white rapper)

I don't listen to underground anymore, I guess because I "grew out" of it, and my personality has changed over the years. I used to listen to underground because I couldn't stand listening to the mainstream artists at the time. Now, I barely listen to rap anyway so it doesn't make a difference; I choose not to listen to underground nor mainstream hiphop. Everytime I hear any of these artist's songs (with the exception of Benefit), most of them tend to be very depressing in nature.

Word. He had some of his best works with Children of the Corn. There are actually many quality underground Harlem rappers.

    Mr. Sche

    ^^^

I've worked with him before. The guy's at the top of the game in the bluff city --- most underrated rapper out there.

    Al Kapone

    ^^^

Seen him live twice... and absolute legend in the south. If you don't know Al Kapone, you're not from around these parts.

    Criminal Manne

    ^^^

Went to high school with this guy.

    Yo Gotti

    ^^^

Saw him live this summer. It was an amazing scene until a shooting broke out over some stupid **** and they made him leave the stage.

Some others from around my hometown:

    Lil Wyte

    Tom Skeemask

    Kinfolk Thugs

I second the C-Rayz, Murs, JMT and Non Phixion recomendations, very underated artists (especially Murs)

Cannibal Ox's Cold Vein is the best underground CD period.

Mr. Lif is great. Sage Francis... Uhhh... there are way more bad underground artists than there are good. You really gotta sift through some crap.

I disagree, I think there are alot more good UG artists out there than there is bad. I mean I guess it depends on where you're looking though, if you're looking into East Coast and Mid West underground, then you should be pretty set. West Coast has a pretty decent scene too, I'm not so sure about the South though, but I'm guessing its more Young Jeezy, Lil' Wayne etc. type ****.

The underground scene's always been like that (a hell of a lot of crap to sift through) and it's like that in every genre of music as well. However, I think the number of quality underground artists right now is much higher than in the past.
