"Dozens of boaters were on the river outside the elite resort in Georgia where Ottawa Senator player Mike Fisher and country singer superstar Carrie Underwood tied the knot late Saturday afternoon.

The boats were reportedly filled with young people and media chanting Carrie's name.

The wedding, which is rumoured to have cost more than half a million dollars, took place around 5:30 p.m.

The couple tied the knot at the posh Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation resort in Georgia, according to an Atlanta Journal-Constitution blogger.

According to reports from gossip site radaronline.com, the tab to book the entire Ritz runs about $268,000 a night.

Rooms range from $300 to $1,500 and the newlyweds are expected to spend their first night in the Presidential House, a 5,400-sq.-ft. suite appointed with mahogany furniture, marble floors and baths and feather beds.

The $4,000-per-night residence also boasts four suites — two king-size and two double rooms — a gourmet kitchen, terrace with access to the recreation room, private pool, living room and dining room that seats 16 people."
