<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">LONG BEACH -- The crowd came to see Lakers first-round pick Andrew Bynum take baby steps toward becoming a legitimate NBA player Tuesday afternoon at the Summer Pro League at the Pyramid. They were not disappointed. But while Bynum played well, it was last year's first-round pick, Sasha Vujacic, whose shooting performance in the second half helped the Lakers knock off the Toronto Raptors 82-72 Monday. "We told all the guys in the locker room that they weren't playing aggressively," Lakers assistant coach Kurt Rambis said. "Everybody looked tired, but that's the nature of the summer league. They worked pretty hard in practice. You saw Toronto and they looked pretty tired also. I tried to explain to them that in the NBA, you are playing a game on the average of every other night. You got to get used to (it)." Rambis said the team's fatigue showed in the 24 turnovers it committed against the Raptors. Vujacic scored 19 points on 6-of-14 shooting, including 3 of 7 from behind the arc, and 4 of 4 from the free-throw line to lead the Lakers despite only hitting 1 of 6 from the field in the first half. He also had five rebounds. Bynum, who labored up and down the court throughout the game, managed to score 10 of his 12 points in the first half and finished with five rebounds. "I don't really think I made much progress today," Bynum said. "I kind of regressed. I was real tired physically, not so much cardiovascular, but from not getting enough rest."</div> Source Sasha did have a nice second half, but I'd rather see him on the NBDL squad than the Laker bench. He's too, much of a liability on defense, had several turnovers, and is a streaky shooter.
