<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Argentina international is currently in Manchester as he waits to undergo a medical with the Premier League champions. West Ham have prevented the tests taking place after talks between the two clubs failed to bring about a resolution to the impasse. The Hammers insist no offer has been made for Tevez, although The Red Devils have expressed their optimism that a deal can be arranged. The problem centres on the striker's contractual situation, with West Ham seemingly holding his playing registration and his agent Kia Joorabchian holding the economic rights. Only last week, Fifa confirmed it would be prepared to intervene in the matter, if asked to by any of the parties involved. The Red Devils have now taken the issue in to their own hands and have called on world football's governing body to wade into the complex affair. Chief executive David Gill has confirmed the club have requested that Fifa's Dispute Resolution Chamber arbitrate on the case. Gill said: "There has been a lot of discussions over the last few days between Manchester United, West Ham and the Premier League, but the case will probably go before Fifa's Dispute Resolution Chamber. "We are very confident this will be resolved in favour of the player and he will be free to achieve his wish of joining Manchester United." West Ham also want the matter dealt with by Fifa, with a spokesman saying: "It now makes sense for this to be dealt with by Fifa. All parties agree this is the best way forward and of course we will be involved in helping this be resolved as quickly as possible.</div> To be honest, I really dont know why United are trying to pursue Tevez. One party say they own his economical rights, the other say they own his registration. United, in my opinion, have done the right thing and spoken to Tevez's representatives as they CLAIM that Tevez is only on loan to West Ham. This saga is going to turn chaotic and now that United have been added into the works with West Ham and Sheffield United, one of these clubs are going to be hit very hard.
West Ham own his registration to play in the PL so unless that is relinquished by them he can't sign for anyone else. I just hope we don't have the same shite when Mascherano comes to the end of his Liverpool loan.
