Being in 2nd place 5 points behind, Arsenal need to drop some points for United to win the title. Arsenal have a lack of strength in depth and in MArch/ April the players will begin to tire, but United don't want it to go to the wire so they can't afford to wait for Arsenal to drop points, they need to, if they can, make it happen, I'm not sure how many times United and Arsenal have to play this season, I think it's one in the League, and if they win they'll go 8 points clear (assuming they drop as many as United up till then). The best way for United to make Arsenal drop points is to have them focus on 3 competitions to United's 2 and Arsenal will tire even quicker and maybe drop more points. I've made this post in the assumption that United would rather win the League than the cup.

I think that Manure,Arsenal, and Chelski all want the Prem title instead of any cup as a main priority. I left out liverpool simply because they always aim for european glory and totally forget about winning the PL. The fact that we are out of the F.A. cup and the mancs eliminated us, give us an energy boost, they will be more tired than us as the season closes. We don't need any sympathy from the mancs to win anything, we have always been a threat in the league. wether we win or not, I will be proud of our team's efforts, but I'm confident we will win it.

United were out of the Carling Cup early. By that logic they should be up in the league right? They have played less games.

I think you have to go at it, cause this is a big tourney.

There was never a fatigue factor for both united and arsenal, since both managers put out their youngsters, not their starting IX in the Carling cup. It's only logical that the team with fewer competitions is going to be more rested, and be able to fully concentrate on one main objective.

The game against City, you guys looked pretty worned out. So yes, fatigue is a huge factor in performances. Its ok to celebrate, we been owning you guys for the last 2 years, must feel good getting out of our pocket, just don't expect the same result in the upcoming league match, we will play our full starting squad, and yes, please fix your pitch, Championship league teams probably have better football pitches than you guys....lol [IMG]

That is the logic, but things don't always play out that way. Look at my example. One of United's objectives is to win the league right? They played many less games than Arsenal did (because they lost out on the Carling Cup much earlier). Is that helping them in their objective to win the league?

It's why you have to win everything. Like Rio said when he was mocking Doyle in response to the FA Cup.
