<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Before the 1992 NBA Fi nals, Michael Jordan kept hearing that Clyde Drexler was the better long-range shooter. The notion amused him to no end. "Clyde is a better 3-point shooter than I choose to be," said Jordan, who then torched Portland in Game 1 by swishing six threes in a 35-point first half. After the sixth, he looked over at Magic Johnson sitting courtside and gave him a what-can-I-say shrug that became part of the Jordan legend. Hope that LeBron James chooses as wisely. The 3-point shot is not only a fickle temptress, it's exactly what every NBA team would prefer James do on most nights, just as every team preferred Jordan shoot instead of driving the lane or posting up. "Jordan used the outside shot more as he got older," Cavaliers GM Danny Ferry said Thursday. "But it was always a small part of his game. Ultimately, for a great player to rely too much on a 3-point shot takes away from his strength." Minus the shrug, James was Jordan Wednesday night when he drained threes as if he were playing an arcade game of Pop-a-Shot. He was Jordan right down to the premeditation, revealing a daily off-season commitment to improving his shot from 3-point range. </div> Source
That is so true! Lebron I think was just testing out his shot to see what the practice in the off-season did to help.
Well when you hit 6-7 from 3 you are welcome to keep shooting them if you're feelin it like that...but I still think James will still take it to the basket and not lose any of his aggressiveness...if defenders are willing to give him the 3, then he should expose them...I think he wants the league to realize he can shoot AND drive, meaning theres no real threat to stop him...
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting shapecity:</div><div class="quote_post">Source</div> i think you kind of misquoted the article there, its not criticising james shot selection. its just talking about how he has been working on developing new aspects of his game.
