After a nice Opening Night win, you might have though Portland would at least split their Home-n-Home with the Suns. Now that they got swept, they don't have a lot of opportunities for wins before the schedule gets really tough for the rest of November

NEW ORLEANS - Nice win but NOLA is one of three teams with 3 losses already. Depleted roster for now.
Phoenix - Tough interior plus strong guard play a killer match up for this team right now.
    PHOENIX - Repeated
Minnesota - 2-0 so far and will be playing at home.
Utah - 2-1 so far and will play their full lineup this time.
MEMPHIS - We all know what problems the Griz cause for Portland.
DETROIT - One of 3 teams that has started 3-0 so far. Playing well.
Denver - Possibly a win but tougher on the road and the Nugs destroyed Houston at their place.
SAN ANTONIO - Hopefully LA doesn't go off but good luck with the rest of the Spurs.
    Memphis - Almost no chance.
Charlotte - Here is their opportunity for a win on this road trip.
San Antonio - Spurs on the road...very tough.
Houston - Rockets look disorganized but still a tough place to get a road win.
CLIPPERS - Another tough WC team.
Lakers - Here is a chance for a rare victory.
CHICAGO - If healthy, Chicago is by far the better team.
LAKERS - Should be a win here.
    Clippers - Uh...no.

So that is maybe 5 or 6 wins...possible 7 which leaves them at around 6-12 or something like that unless some of these players make massive developments in a short period of time. They just won't be favored in hardly any of these games so it will take some upsets to be much above that 6-12 mark.

The schedule gets a little easier after that but we should have a better idea of what this team looks like against some pretty tough competition very early on.

And this matters why? It is NOT about wins and losses this year it is merely about growth.

People who want a good pick in the draft sure are talking out of both sides of their mouth if they whine that we aren't beating teams "they" think we should.

Actually, this was pointing out the reality of how unlikely many wins are. Where are they going to come from in Nov? Then again, who know whom you were referring to...

I think you know I wasn't referring to you specifically. Just threads of people who are saying both things at once (you can't have it both ways). Sorry for singling you out when it wasn't you only or you specifically. Just thought it needed to be said were people could see it.

Four of our next five are against Minny, Utah. Detroit, Denver. We can get 2 or 3 wins there. If not this season could get ugly real quick. If so I might read about draft picks.
