Mike Conley, who is out indefinitely due to a posterior labral tear in his right shoulder, said Monday he's encouraged with the rehabilitation program.

"It's doing a lot better," Conley said Monday after greeting a group of Ohio State fans attending the Griz game against Portland. "We've been able to do advance exercises with weights, and the range of motion is good."

The medical staff hasn't yet performed another MRI to check the condition of the tear. But Conley declared that his shoulder is mending judging by his physical progress. -- Memphis Commercial-Appeal
