    Both of the top seeds Serena Williams #1 and Simona Halep #2 lost their matches today. Serena to an unseeded Roberta Vinci and Halep to a #26 Flavia Pennetta. Makes for an interesting final. Go Italy!

    Just heard on news secondary market for finals tickets dropped 80% and ratings for tmo which would have been great will be in the toilet also as no one except their families are tuning in to watch the 26th seed and an unseeded pair of italians going at it. A shame but it is what it is.
