The 03 Draft can bring home the gold, no sweat: PG-Dwyane Wade / Kirk Hinrich / TJ Ford / Luke Ridnour / Mo Williams / Marcus Banks SG-LeBron James / Jarvis Hayes / James Jones / Jason Kapono SF-Carmelo Anthony / Josh Howard / Boris Diaw (I wish, he's french :/) / Kyle Korver (is he American?) / Luke Walton / PF-Chris Bosh / David West / Udonis Haslem (undrafted) / Brian Cook / Matt Bonner C-Chris Kaman / Nick Collison / Michael Sweetney And with almost everyone able to play multiple positions, the lineup possibilities are endless.

For one look at all the NBA stars that aren't from this draft class and two, the general public would flip out.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting SebP?:</div><div class="quote_post">the general public would flip out.</div> So would the superstars in the NBA. It would be a sign of disrespect if all these young guys were sent and all the big name guys were snubbed. We might win the gold but something like this isn't very realistic.
If this team brings home the gold (IMO they're good enough), then why would anyone flip out? That's pretty selfish on their behalf. I just brought this idea up since some people like to say "Send the Pistons to the Olympics" or "Here is a lineup to win the Gold". And it also just goes to show you how this could be one the best drafts in NBA History. I don't expect this to realistically happen but it's definetly good enough to work. Fact is, the 03 Draft is talented and deep enough to guarantee us the Gold for the next decade AND FUTURE USA TEAMS will definetly feature a lot of players from this draft. A lot of players on the draft are unselfish, are good friends off court, and all that should translate to good chemistry oncourt (unlike, say, Kobe Bryant who would jack up all the team's shots). The only player that would be of concern IMO is Carmelo Anthony but I'm sure Wade and James can keep him in check and his head straight. And the best argument you guys have against is "the media / some fans wouldn't like it". I'm hoping that's a real world answer rather than your personal opinions.
