So glad we don't have a pro team. And trust me, that would almost double my yearly income! That's how much I HATE BASEBALL!

But this thread isn't about if you do or don't like baseball or how much you'd make if we had it in Portland. It's about congratulating some kids who played their guts out and won a championship.

More kids play baseball. So you would be wrong.

I'm not a big fan of baseball but I tuned in the game on a slow sports day and I enjoyed it. The kids from the USA were down 3-0 to Taiwan. They battled back and won. It was a gutsy win and an entertaining game.

I think it's great that you like spelling bees but I think that team sports are important for kids.

Disagree. Almost every kid in the US spells. Some not so well, but still...

Spelling and competing in Spelling Bees aren't exactly the same thing.

I think anybody can follow anything they want. I mess with my boy and his fascination with NASCAR too. Just messin around, but I just can't stand baseball. Growing up in Portland it just isn't part of the culture. I'm sure if I grew up back east somewhere, it would be different. But I do agree that more kids spell then play any kind of ball!

Baseball is boring to watch but it's really fun to play.

From 7th grade to 12th I was a pitcher. A damn good one too. Senior Minor/Major Little League (12-15) I was already throwing in the 70's+. HS I was throwing even faster than that.
