The game is tonight at 11:00 EST. if you didn't know by now. It will be on ESPN2.Figured I would open this up as a game thread for it.
Yeah I figured we could make a new game thread for each game they have, doesn't matter who does it. Seeing outside of AND1 streetball this is the only ball on TV right now.
This game isn't live, cause i just saw on the FIBA website who won. I won't say it if you guys don't want me to.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (JoshBosh @ Aug 3 2006, 11:08 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Does anyone know what ESPN2 is in Canada?</div>I think you guys are probably gonna have it on SCORE.
You sure that score you saw wasnt the first game they played?? Cause today's is the 2nd of 2 games they will play against Puerto Rico. I could be wrong, but I think this is live..
Anybody remember how bad they beat us a few years ago? Carlos Arroyo DESTROYED team USA. I cant wait for this game, I have been dying for some basketball.
The game is also going to be replayed on NBA TV tomorrow at 4:00pm, so if you don't have ESPN2, but have NBA TV you can catch it on there.ScheduleBTW: The game hasn't happened yet. The official exhibition game starts at 8:00pm EST, so I'm not sure how someone saw the results. . .But it will be a delayed broadcast. As mentioned the game starts at 8, but ESPN2 shows it at 11:00pm.

But you are right, USA did destroy Puerto Rico in the scrimmage, 116-82.

I miss Carlos Arroyo's explosiveness on Detroit. But Bruce Bowen is a huge addition to Team USA. I'd trade Arenas or Battier for Allen Iverson though.
I dont think we get this game. I have looked everywhere, and we don't get it.Canada doesnt have ESPN or ESPN2.
Gilbert Arenas is just a bigger version of AI, so it deosnt really matter which of the two made it.Although there a ton of guys who were more deserving of battier
I would have loved to see Chauncey Billups out there for the U.S. He is a floor general and I think he could have led the U.S. better then Paul might lead them. Paul is an amazing talent, but I am not sure if he demands the respect of a Chauncey Billups.
You don't know what you're talking about. They chose Battier because he can do everything. He is the perfect role player, and he definately deserves his spot. They don't want to just choose all the best players, or else they will have chemistry problems like in the '04 team.
People are really underrating Battier. The guy can do everything well. He can play defense, he can shoot, he can rebound, he can pass, etc. He's a perfect addition to the squad and has no ego at all.
