Van Gundy still thinks we have "more than enough" to win. And people say he's a pessimist. http://www.nba.com/rockets/news/Van_Gundy_...161901-822.html
Van Gundy is probably the most ambigous coach in the NBA. His answers are mostly composed of "we'll see"s and "I don't know"s. I find his manner during interviews hilarious but he just finds a way to avoid giving any real insight that can work against him later on.
Man I used to be on the "fire JVG" bandwagon a couple of years back, but I think he's just the type of Coach that this team needs.....every Rocket respects him, and I've even heard some say that he is the best coach they ever played for (Tmac and Barry said this)
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">?I can?t, no. Great players don?t want you to relieve the burden. The burden is why you?re there, it?s why you are who you are. There is no relieving that burden or responsibility. He has a responsibility to be the player who both unites and inspires us. His play and his demeanor and we can win even if he doesn?t play great, if he plays all out, he plays emotional, and he unites his team. To me, that was never more indicative than it was in the L.A. game.?</div> My personal favorite quote right there. Its telling McGrady that he needs to step up his game with Yao injured but also letting him know that he believes in him.
