Vancouver Canucks sign goaltender Tyler Weiman

    Vancouver Canucks President & General Manager Mike Gillis announced today that the Canucks have signed goaltender Tyler Weiman. In keeping with club policy, terms were not disclosed.

    Weiman, 26, appeared in 43 games last season with the Lake Erie Monsters, posting a record of 21-18-3 with a goals against average of 2.48 and a save percentage of .912. The Saskatoon, SK native has appeared in 186 AHL games in his six-year pro career. In that span, he has put together a mark of 84-85-10 with a goals against average of 2.77 and .909 save percentage. Weiman was also selected to the Canadian All-Star Team as part of the 2009 AHL All-Star Classic held in Worcester, MA. He appeared in one NHL game with the Colorado Avalanche in 2007-08.
