This article was from a few months ago I just ran into...It's interesting nonetheless...(btw, if u didn't know, Master P's real name is Percy Miller)

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Miller said previously he didn't have the mentality to play in the NBA. But after spending last summer playing against the likes of all-stars Baron Davis, Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce in Los Angeles and All-Star Steve Francis, Cuttino Mobley and Sam Cassell in Houston, Master P says he is ready to go from the rap stage to the NBA hardwood.

"I've been able to play with those guys and hold my own," Miller said. "I think basketball is about confidence. You go out there and see all the people and miss one shot, and you lose your confidence. But when you look at the franchise players, they miss a shot and they keep on playing ... The confidence I have on the stage with my music really helps me now."

To show just how serious Miller is about playing in the NBA, he has recently worked out in Denver at the Nuggets' practice facility twice and met with general manager Kiki Vandeweghe. Vandeweghe has been intrigued by Miller's game and once tried to convince Don Nelson to give Miller a tryout (to no avail) while working for the Dallas Mavericks.

Currently, the Nuggets have no room to acquire Miller as they have the maximum 15 players on their roster. But Vandeweghe said that if Denver did somehow have an open roster spot, Master P deserved consideration. If signed, the rookie Miller would cost an NBA team a prorated rookie minimum of $349,458 and could bring excitement to the arena whether he plays or not.</div>

He has game, I know that...probably the best out of all the rappers...It would be quite interesting to see him suit up for a couple of games.

I have seen him play when he had very small stint with the Raptors. He plain out sucks, he can't drive or keep up with the rest of the athletes in the NBA. No room for improvement because he is 30 something years old. Through three pre season games with the Raptors he made one shot (on limited minutes). This dude is also way too out of shape to even grace an NBA court.

I seriously wouldn't be surprised if Cassell and the rest of the NBA players took it easy on him because he sucked so badly.

I saw him in the EBC games held at rucker and I thought he sucked too...He played no defense whatsoever, and his offense wasn't any good either...Everytime he was in the game, the other team would make a run....his teammates didn't say anything because he owned the team lol....

Hahaha, imagine you are on his team and you have to ask him to sit? He'll release you on the spot. Something tells me that if this guy wasn't so ummmm....famous, he wouldn't have the kind of recognition he gets for his sub below par game. Are the Nuggets this desperate to spark a fire?
