I have a simple observation to make guys...When we drafted Vassilis Spanoulis, a promising player with a european championship on his shoulders, everybody was talking about the new Steve Nash etc. It seems that the coach is not trusting him. I think more time should be given to players like that.
Spanoulis had a great game against the US during the World Championships, He was one of the main reasons why we took home the bronze instead of the gold. I like the kids game, He's quick and aggressive, He's the perfect guard to run a high paced offense. He's a very good defender with quick hands, He showed that in the US game this summer. He plays like a guard from the United States. I guess I can see a little bit of Steve Nash in his game, He's a better defender but Nash is the better shooter. The only problem is that Jeff Van Gundy has never liked European players, I don't think he is going to get much playing time as long as JVG is the head coach.I thought that his game against Washington was going to be his breakout game that gave him tons of confidence, He hasn't really done much since.
The problem with Billy is that he's way too outta control sometimes. His decision making is not that great either. Other then that, I like the way he plays. Great spark off the bench.
