This thread is for Mavs fans that just want to get things off their chests. It is a thread NOT meant to be viewed by non-Mavs fans. Nor is it a thread meant to open a debate about the opinion they are venting. In fact, the comments posted here are purely rhetorical and require NO reply. View at your own risk/amusement.
Here's an example: I'm tired of all the whiney fans who can't accept when their team has been beat, but would rather blame the loss on outside factors such as: ref calls, the bounce of the ball or even luck. I'm tired of Jon Barry and his celebrating after one friggin' shot. I'm tired of talking heads who don't give the Mavs their props for actually beating a very good Houston team 3 games in a row. Can someone please acknowledge that the Mavs are actually legit and stop falling back on the old analysis of them being a bad defensive team! ARRGGGHHHH!!!!!! Okay, I feel better. NOTE: posts on this thread are stand alone posts meant to simply vent out frustrations NOT meant to offend other fans on this board.
I am very agree with you that dallas is a good team. In fact before the playoff started, i predicted dallas will advance to the WCF. I am totally agree with you that in game 3 and game 4, dallas show their superior mentality to finish the game late in the 4th quarter. I give all my props to the Mavs for being able to overcome 2 games down in their homecourt. But really if you look at game 5, houston showed that they can do the same like mavs did in game 3 and 4,which is being clutch late in the game. But bad calls from ref ruined it all.. If you think that the refs didn't make a bad decision..please... I never said that the mavs didn't deserve to win game 3 and game 4, but in game 5 you should admit that the mavs were put in a comfortable position due to bad calls from the ref. I mean, so do you expect us to just accept the defeat due to the OBVIOUS bad calls from the ref? Well, if you can accept those things if the same happening to the mavs then i will give my applause to you, cause i can't accept it. I never hate the mavs.. actually i love Dirk coz he's a very nice guy.. i just hate Cuban, especially after he complaint to the ref before the game.. And the ref DID call many bad calls.. what a coincidence. Note also : my post is not intended to offend the mavs, or their fans.. It's just a reply of the thread and a show of my dissatisfaction of the referees.
Before the playoffs began between the Mavs and the Rockets, I considered the Mavs to be a favorite to win the series because of their deep bench, healthy roster and a couple of hustle players. It's not a match-up problem either because I know Dirk and TMac would cancel out each other. With Juwan Howard out for the season the Rockets chances seems to dwindle and it maybe hard for them to advance in each round. I was surprised in the first two games when the Rockets won those. For us Rockets fans it builds our confidence,excitement and faith on our team whom I consider an underdog for the series. I also give credit to the Mavs for doing their best to evened the series as well as to take a 3-2 lead. Hustle plays like offensive rebounding and fighting out for loose balls when a turnover was supposed to happen kept the Mavs from breaking down in the 4th quarter which in turn stopped the Rockets momentum to take over the last 3 games. Hey kabayan don't be upset on the Rockets fans reactions. I know officiating have been somehow bad in the last game but I believe it's a 50-50 chance for the Rockets to have won the game have the calls been corrected. The Rockets have missed 8 FTs in the 4th including the 5 straight shots by Yao that could have tied the ball game or given the lead for them. Besides, the Rockets-Mavs series are the most intensive match-up in the whole playoffs with each game(except for the first game) being decided in the last few seconds of the ball game. So we should expect fans in both forums will be fired up especially in the Rockets forum where a lot of supporters are active. Lots of events also happened. Cuban started complaining, then came JVG and then those bad calls by the refs against the Rockets. I hope you'd understand Kingrex that there were losses that are hard to accept or swallow for us Rockets fans especially if there was some contoversy involved that might have or have cost a ball game. As die hard fans are all fired-up you'll also expect tons of reactions after a heart-breaking loss. It shows how you love your team and your expectations on them. Time will let everyone mellow down in the end and accept the fact that either we deserved to win or we'll just continue to try harder next time if we did lose the series. BTW thanks Kingrex for giving neutral post in our forum. Some fans might be overconfident to bring us down but you shared your opinions well- balanced and not one-sided.
Arrggh. Dampier needs to evolve some human hands rather than the hooves he tries to use to catch a pass with. This guy is supposed to be the Mavs answer to their troubles at the center position. Somebody please tell him that this is a freakin' contract year, so he can play like a legit NBA center please!!!!!
